Since when does winning put a freeze on discussion or debate? That kind of crap might fly in totalitarian states, but not message boards. If I can avoid the threads that praise the team unfairly or unnecessarily, then certainly you can exercise the same restraint. Much classier than telling others to "shut up."
It's pretty clear they they're never going to love the team to your satisfaction, so you might as well stop trying.
good thing you don't tell me how to post huh? it's JUST little old me. : )
bb - i'm not nearly as aggrevated as you probably think i am. yea, it's frustrating to come in here after a good win and be positive about something for a change. it's been a tough start to the season and man alive, the coach has been fired 16 thousand times, we've rehired about everyone else we can, we're debating the next draft and coaching changes.
for a team 4-2 and tied for 1st in our division.
maybe i'm for the life of me trying to understand how come some people just can't be happy for a little while and must find the ONE THING (albiet the one thing they were looking for) to be upset about and make sure we have 3-5 threads about it on the front page at all times?
we had the best game of the season so far and all we can do is go at each other and how we feel about the team and bicker with each other.
is this really what our fanbase has become? hey, i'm as guilty as the rest of us to be sure. maybe i have changed a lot since my DMN days when i lived to post and talk cowboys 24x7. hell, valley ranch was 1/3 mile down the road. maybe the fanbase isn't different but i am.
i just know i'm pretty sick and tired of just wanting to be happy about a win w/o it degrading into all this.
