What's the "wait time" for pointing out problems with the team or certain players following a win? 30 minutes? An hour? A full day? Never? Seriously, what's the magic number? Since when does winning put a freeze on discussion or debate? That kind of crap might fly in totalitarian states, but not message boards. If I can avoid the threads that praise the team unfairly or unnecessarily, then certainly you can exercise the same restraint. Much classier than telling others to "shut up."

It's pretty clear they they're never going to love the team to your satisfaction, so you might as well stop trying.

good thing you don't tell me how to post huh? it's JUST little old me. : )

bb - i'm not nearly as aggrevated as you probably think i am. yea, it's frustrating to come in here after a good win and be positive about something for a change. it's been a tough start to the season and man alive, the coach has been fired 16 thousand times, we've rehired about everyone else we can, we're debating the next draft and coaching changes.

for a team 4-2 and tied for 1st in our division.

maybe i'm for the life of me trying to understand how come some people just can't be happy for a little while and must find the ONE THING (albiet the one thing they were looking for) to be upset about and make sure we have 3-5 threads about it on the front page at all times?

we had the best game of the season so far and all we can do is go at each other and how we feel about the team and bicker with each other.

is this really what our fanbase has become? hey, i'm as guilty as the rest of us to be sure. maybe i have changed a lot since my DMN days when i lived to post and talk cowboys 24x7. hell, valley ranch was 1/3 mile down the road. maybe the fanbase isn't different but i am.

i just know i'm pretty sick and tired of just wanting to be happy about a win w/o it degrading into all this.

No one cares if you post less.

No one cares if you hate the bashing threads.

No one cares if you want to be the uber fan and only have positive threads.

No one cares.

Get it.

if you didn't care, you'd not reply would you? : )

and since you're a journalist and into all this "facts" and stuff, please show me where i said i only wanted all positive threads.

Maybe it's just me, but the vast majority of post-game threads have been positive, as it should be. The RW11 threads existed well before kickoff, and considering Roy's performance yesterday, it legitimately added fuel to the fire. I try to subscribe to a "no bad vibes for 24 hours following a win" rule (not that there was much to complain about yesterday), but if others feel differently, I won't jump on them.

Roy Williams:

Pros: Good hands, good size, good top end speed, very good run blocker.

Cons: Doesn't have very good acceleration, slow in and out of cuts, and doesn't run good routes.

I'm sure everyone can agree with that.

If bbgun had children, they'd be raised in a locked closet under his stairs, living off of the handful of dried corn kernels that he scattered under the door every three days, sucking moisture from a damp washcloth. He'd spend his time posting amusing images from the internet and screen grabs he made gratuitously flattering himself re: his prudent use of food while he chided the rest of us for raising 'fatsos.'

A man could go mad expecting him to dole out a dollop of positivity a full 24 hours after a big win.

It takes credibility to get a journalism degree?

:laugh2:

So you go to Michigan for four years and pass all of your classes.

But unless someone says you're credible you don't get that degree.

:laugh2:

You lost it bro.

rocyaice, we shouldn't care what Roy gets paid?!?!?

Every dollar Roy gets is a dollar not available in our cap to keep someone else--or acquire a new free agent.

But hey I don't blame Roy for the contract. I blame Jerry the moron GM.

Why can't we all be sensible and recognize the obvious, realistic middle ground here? RW11 IS a bust, but we all need to either A) stop whining or B) stop making ridiculous excuses and just accept it for what it is, knowing that Miles Austin more than makes up for the pathetic Roy Williams trade.
