DeMarcus may be better in coverage than Merriman but Merriman is A LOT better in pass rushing that it doesnt matter. Merriman is also pretty impressive against the run. The only advantage to Ware I would give is in coverage and thats only because Merriman sucks in coverage.

Is this assessment of Merriman WITH or WITHOUT him being on steroids?

If you were to ask fans and players of 31 NFL teams not named Dallas Cowboys who was better they'd tell you Shawn Merriman.

The problem with you guys debating on a Cowboys forum who the better player was is that when a guy would have an argument in favor of the non Cowboys player(Merriman) 23,486 homers would jump on him.

Actually i would take Ray Lewis over Brady James. I would take Tom Brady of Drew Bledsoe (No refferense ment), i would take Orlando Pace over Flo. I would take Dwight Freeney over M. SPears. I would take Ed Reed of Pat Watkins.....what were you saying about a non-cowboy player bias?

I'll tell you this much, I'll take Ware over the player you selected TWO PICKS higher all day, everyday and ESPECIALLY on Sundays. Unlike Rogers this week and Merriman the next 4 weeks, Ware will be out on that field for his team tomorrow night bud.

You think Ware is NEVER going to have an injury? Please. Everyone outside of Brett Favre misses games. Carlos Rogers last year saved a game winning TD against TB in the playoffs. With the loss of Smoot, CB was the biggest need in our defense and I'm glad we picked him.

A loss and need created solely by your front office's decision to not re-sign him. I'm glad you picked him too, his coverage ain't that tight and he has hands of stone. Besides, that allowed us to pick one Demarcus Ware and that suits me just fine pal.

He has to produce like he did before for me to even think hes a top NFL linebacker.
