I never thought that I would be so saddened at the passing of someone I never really knew. Today has been very hard to deal with.

I have been a member here for a couple years now, and I have to say, that seeing all of this support from the cowboys nation is a great gesture, and it will definatly not go forgotten.

Thank you for your support Cowboy fans. The rivalry will be healthy and hearty as ever, but today is a day where we come together as human beings and Americans.

Thank you again for doing this CZ. It means alot.

RIP #21

Things have been put in perspective for most Commander fans and I know they would do the same for us.

Shame on you.

Your lack of faith in the compassion others may show to others in time of tragedy surely does show a person who has no understanding of brotherhood. I'm sure the cowboyszone and the Cowboys organization could do without your support...period!!!

Commanders fans would do the same. This isn't about teams this about the sport we all love losing one of it's brightest young talents to an awful circumstance. I honestly have gotten teary eyed at times thinking about it today, he had came so far as a person. As a Cowboy fan I always respected his talent on the field. It may have been hate but he was a part of our lives. He was what makes the game alot of us live by.

Hello everyone

I too am from the ES boards and would also like to express my gratitude for the comfort and prayers given. Like it's been said while we may fight to the bitter end over football and our rivalry, it's nice to see we can still tie each other to the human race. I want to just personally thank you from the bottem of my heart for all the class shown today by Cowboy Nation.

I can assure you that if the circumstances were reversed and ES didn't do something appropriate we that call it home would be far more disappointed than any of you would.

Let's never find out, ok?

I joined specifically to offer my thanks to the many kind and caring members here that have shown their compassionate side in response to this tragedy. Opponents, even our most bitter opponents, are not synonymous with enemy. When it comes to questions of humanity we are all on the same team. It is a bright spot on a dark day to come here and see that so many Cowboy fans know that already.

What an incredibly sad moment for us here at CZ to hear this.

I believe the very vast numbers of Cowboy fans do not feel this way nor condone this comment.

You have my apologies Commander's fans.

I think it is quite evident how deep the compassion here runs, no apologies necessary.

This is not about cowboys vs Commanders, it;s about the death of a human being, a father with a small child. It is all about support for grieving family and friends.

I certainly hope we never have to, but I can without doubt say that we would. I never thought in a million years that this much attention would be devoted to a Commander on a Cowboys forum, but here it is and I am confident that if the Cowboys (or ANY team for that matter) had suffered such a tragedy that you would see the same thing over there. This isn't about "Commanders vs Cowboys", this is about about a great football player, who was murdered in the prime of his life, who left behind a baby girl... This is a sad day for those that love the game of football, has nothing to do with what team you pull for on gameday.

I am so impressed by the majority of fans here, every time I open a thread I see something else that touches me. Cowboys fans that have tributes to Sean Taylor in their signatures and in their avatars. The compassion is so apparent. And as mentioned many times, we certainly hope to never have to do the same, this was so senseless and has left so many feeling very vacant today.

that was maybe the most ignorant statement I have ever seen posted on our site and what a crude way to introduce something negative in to a nice thread....I guess no good gesture goes unpunished....Was saying something that small-minded an audition to become an Eagles fan ? Maybe you could try to show some class now and apologize for the remark ....Skins fans would do the same for us and let's pray they never have to....RIP SEAN and Condolences to the Commander Nation...

God bless all of their fans.....

I don't know if you have gone to Fatso's on Bandera to watch football.
Regardless of how bad of a season the Skins are having, they always show up in droves, are enthusiastic about their team and sing their song out loud.
I feel for them today.
I'll be there this Sunday to check them out and show support.

For the record, there is an entire thread at Extremeskins devoted to the gesture this board is showing to S. Taylor, his family and Skins fans everywhere.

There's some new perspectives on Cowboy fans over there, I can tell you that.

Many thanks.
Reminds me of Jim Rome's messageboard (Smackchat) after 9/11, everyone was open and comforting each other whereas we were usually ripping and tearing into each other.

Just like then there will come a time when we'll go back to being rivals, until then best to be there for them, no doubt they're going through many emotions.
