I have been emailed by many Skin fans on my personal website today ..... they are a very proud and very grateful group of fans ..... I have been taken a back that the things we said, the good feelings we have offered, has affected and helped them as much as it has.

I am so very happy we were able to help them through this horrible first day. And I am very proud of both the Commander and my fellow Cowboy fans today.

Actually they already have. When Romo's Father was having his surgery there were quite a few members on ES who expressed their support.

We all know there is the right that gives you freedom of speech, that also gives you the freedom to sound stupid. Sadly, you have chosen the latter.

To all Skins fans, ALMOST ALL of us fans here feel your pain and hope no other team goes through such tragedy again.

RIP

It's apparent that the overwhelming sentiment on this site is one of unconditional support for grieving fans. I have recently experienced the loss of my father, who lived 80 great years. Despite the lengthy life, I still feel the loss and experience a profound sense of pain in my loss.

I have a son who is only two years older that Sean Taylor. I can only imagine the pain one would experience with the loss of a young man in his prime. I would ask everyone here to come to some understanding of that kind of pain and to continue to respect the Skins fans like we have since this started.

Remember, football is for FUN and life is real. The rivalry is just FUN whether you like to acknowledge it or not. Very classy to do this on this site. I hope the best for Sean Taylors kid and family. Condolscences to everyone affected.

How about let's put pettiness aside for a short while and support the CZ-family's display of solitude with our counterparts during this time of their profound loss. Let go of our NARROWER focus and try to see the big picture - if only long enough to realize that, at any time, we as Cowboys fans could be subjected to the very same experience THEY must currently endure. But for the grace of God - there go I.

Exactly.

It's extremely tragic what happened and I feel terrible for Taylor's friends and family and teammmates.

But when it comes to football, sorry, I hope the Commanders lose the rest of their games, just like I always do.

I don't know if you have gone to Fatso's on Bandera to watch football.
Regardless of how bad of a season the Skins are having, they always show up in droves, are enthusiastic about their team and sing their song out loud.
I feel for them today.
I'll be there this Sunday to check them out and show support.
That's cool. Report back would you?

You guys are really fantastic on this site, on behalf of many of us Commanders fans who are truly hurting right now, thank you all so much for your gracious words!

All of us regardless of who we root for look to football as an escape/entertainment. This awful event makes it all to sad and real. I would not wish this feeling on anyone.

Thank you all again for your support!

Some of those posters over there are truly very good... and when we talk of Extremeskins, we usually focus on the poorer posters. Just human nature, I suppose.

There are some terrific posters there though.

I remember in the beginning (way back before the break-up) the reason I made this my main board where 2 Commander fans, Henry and Buford IIRC.
Whish those guys where still around posting.
Our prayers go out to Taylor's family.
As for the team... I will only root for them when they play the weables.

Wow I sure wouldn't want to be Coakleys Dad right now. I'm sure he probably didn't give much thought to his post. But I'm sure he is now. So let's have as much consideration for the living as we do the dead.

I can't say enough about how enlightened I am to see so many people appreciating the game. After all, what would it be without our rivals.

It's a shame that a tragic event like this has to happen to bring people together.
