It’s not a surprise that there are teams seriously thinking about pursuing Terrell Owens once the Eagles cut him from the squad, as they are expected to do in March. The two teams talking openly about the possibility of taking on T.O. are Miami and Denver.
And if two teams are going public with their courtship, others are sure to follow. The speculation is that because of his many problems in understanding the team concept, he won’t get a big contract. But as soon as there is competition for his services, the price is going to go up. I can’t wait to hear how his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is going to spin the “new” T.O. when the bidding starts.

T.O. can only be saved if Dallas gets him. No other coach or organization is gonna coral him.

He will kill Denver and Shanahan. Miami and Saban dont stand a chance. Gruden CANT want him.

All this other teams talk is just to mess with Jerry.

While I have major reservations about the type of contract he would get, Owens is one of 3 pieces needed to put us over the top.....He is that good!!!

As long as we have an "out" in the contract for WHEN he will act up, I say roll the dice and go for it.....We have to try and win now, unless someone out there figures out a way to get our QB of the future....The time is now with Drew at the helm....Yeah, we are young on Defense, building slowly a solid, make that very solid group...I know all the "lets not screw with that crap by signing a cancer"....but we can win now, with Drew and a better O Line, with Parcells.....BP has that ability to deal with this guy, he has shown it in the past to be able to deal with "high rsik" attitudes.....I say go for it!!! That is the way JJ won in the past, its the way you win now....

BP couldn't handle Antonio Bryant and he's about a .07 on the TO 1-10 scale of jackasses. The problem is not the contract, it's the fact that you'll have to design your offense around TO (or he'll tear your team apart in training camp) and then what happens when he throws his annual temper tantrum and quits?

Anyone who makes absolute blanket statements about a person's intelligence based on their preference in NFL players, is either stupid, or a Skins fan. ;)

Or until I throw trick under it.

For the record, I'm with you guys...TO isn't worth the trouble...whoever signs him will probably get one good year out of him because he'll be on best behavior...but that's about it.

AND if this is all contingent on Parcells being around to coach him, what happens when Parcells leaves in the next year or two?

If Parcells has his hands full with manning and coaching the offensive line, as he has now for 3 years, I don't see him doing much good with TO.

I can't believe that some of you fans would want him, or even think that you could contain him. You all witnessed what he did our NFC east bretheren, and you'd wish the possibility of that happening to your team?

Seems to me that Philadelphia had almost everything and just needed TO to "put them over the top". It was a nice try but it didn't work there and I have grave concerns that it could work here. If any coach in this league can tame TO, he will have my respect.

Jerry is definitely the kind of owner who would grab TO so fast it would be a blur and if BP thinks he can corral him, then I guess we'll see him here next year, but TO doesn't seem to be the kind of player who fits into BP's mold, in my opinion and I doubt we'll see him here.
