I've seen several tweets (can't post them because not media) and heard some podcasts saying that Micah quit late in the game and CeeDee was lackadaisical from the start. I just think that the flow of the game caused them to lose hope, but does anyone else think they quit or gave up? Jesse Holley said CeeDee's body language indicates something is wrong and it will be a problem down the line. I hope not because we can ill afford any more adversity.
It all started with McCarthy's 3 and outs.. This game was on him, if you ask me. He made it easy for them, and hard on his entire team, including the defense. They were gassed by the half.

I agree about Micah. I thing he just got tired. The whole defense was tired because the offense kept going three and out.

I hope Dak and CeeDee connect next week, meaning I hope Dak gets it together.
Nothing wrong with Dak. Our receivers were getting blanketed all game long. Plus, our Oline was getting beat often in pass protection along with at the line of scrimmage. We couldn't even get the running game going whatsoever. Complete and total failure by everyone. Even the playcalling stunk badly.

Cd was rarely open. He was blanketed all game. Even early on.

Micah is great but he’s starting to show signs of wear and tear. He just didn’t seem to have the same burst and explosiveness as he usually does. Or Trent Williams is just that much of a stud.
49ers we’re killing Dallas WRs with man coverage. Swarming them like flies on ****. Same thing we saw last playoff game. Ceedee’s body language looked bad. He was damn near walking when in motion. Micah was getting doubled almost every play in the first half. They wore him down early.

100% agree. Both McCarthy and Quinn.

The receiver routes don't seem to get them open. Most of those routes are predictable and vanilla, so the receivers are often blanketed.

Plus, with McCarthy abandoning play action on most passing plays, the LBs drop into coverage and can contest downfield throws, and the safeties don't have to cheat up either to stop the run. So the receivers get blanketed because of the lackluster play designs and playcalling.

Having said that, CeeDee jogs through too many routes when he's covered and/or is not the primary receiver. And you can't have that. Because then the safeties quickly realize during the play that they don't need to help on CeeDee because clearly he's not the primary receiver since he's running half-azzed through the route, so they go and help elsewhere, giving Dak nowhere to throw (then SACK!). I thought Amari did this too much as well.

Micah simply looks like he gets tired too quickly out there, thus he needs frequent breaks. Micah needs to spend more time doing cardio and less on his podcasts. Micah looks tired by the middle of the 2nd quarter in many games.

And by later in the 3rd quarter against the Niners, he was dead, because by then, the Cowboys had been pounded into submission. And then, yeah, he probably just gave up...and you can see it in his body language, on and off the field.

I simply don't know how strong these young players' psyches are...I don't trust their ability to battle through adversity yet. If I trust anyone, I trust Dak, and D Law...but Dak may not have the ability to overcome such a bad offensive scheme with his average arm talent. And D Law is doing everything he can to keep the young guys believing in the process, but it's just not enough, especially once your defense is getting pounded into submission.

Oh well.

They were down 4 scores late in the 3rd quarter. There was no coming back at that point. The receivers failed to get open all game long. If anything, their poor performance probably caused Dak to give up once he forced his 1st interception late in the 3rd quarter with the game out of reach.
And the opposite

What are you talking about... dont be so defensive, not coming at you.
Im asking a honest question,,, when players quit why is that?
It depends on the player and situation.

For the defense. I think most of them were exhausted. I believe Jimmy Johnson said “fatigue makes cowards of us all”

When defenders are exhausted. It can often look like they quit because they have nothing left in the tank.

I hate the "slow" move from one side to the other thing. Run like you're heading for the sideline catch, then cut inside. Yes, CD looked lazy at times. Poor coaching. Period. I've seen it all year. Move your you know what, or Tolbert will get your snaps. These guys make it obvious consistently when the ball isn't going their way. These coaches are too soft. Or is it Jerry? Parcells would have had your locker belongings on a cart in the fan parking lot.
