He likes to hear himself talk. He should learn the value of unexpressed thoughts.

That being said, he probably ain't wrong at this point of the season either.
Why? Who are we talking to be gatekeepers of what athletes say and what modern culture looks like?

Because we’re a bunch of crusty old farts that live in the glory days?

Honestly it’s the old timers that should have a seat and shut up.

So you would rather trust some sime called the "marca" over his own father? Ok lol. Have at it. I don't know how you missed this information when he got drafted it was mentioned on every network but ok.
No. I trust my eyes. He is decked out in Philly gear. So he grew up outside Philly. Went to PSU and has no connection to Dallas. And He likes all the Philly teams accept the Eagles? That makes no sense. A dad lying to save his son from ridicule sounds more likely.

Why on earth would his dad "lie" about that? He decided to lie about it before his son was even drafted by the Cowboys?

Their weakness is lack of depth.

WR & TE starters are solid, but behind them... meh.
RBs depth is good
OLine starters are OK but depth is not.

Defense same: lots of good starters, but huge dropoff in their depth

I say it all the time, quality depth is a luxury in the NFL

As long as starters stay healthy though, they'll be OK

Both can be true. He was raised to be a Cowboys fan, but grew up outside Philly and went to Penn State so he's supportive of Pennsylvania teams. Top-end football players aren't as loyal as we are to one team, especially when they start looking at the business side of the sport.

He'd love to win a title while here in Dallas, but if Dallas doesn't give him what he wants and Philly does, I'm sure he'd love to win a title while there. If another NFL team breaks the bank for him, I'm sure it would be the same.

That may be true but to insinuate his parents lied about his fandom is insane. He's never come out and said he was a Eagle fan. If he was so be it but he's never said it. He's actively said he grew up a Cowboy fan so not really sure why we think he'd lie about his fandom but keep his fandom with the Eagles a secret.

I think sometimes fans get caught up in believing that just because one thing is true, another thing can't be true. Often the truth is far more complex than that.

I could understand saying #1 in NFC, but why would he put them above the Chiefs who beat them in the Super Bowl? What's the logic behind that?

He's going to get paid here, and if for some reason he doesn't want to accept the contract he'll get franchised for two seasons. If he's that desperate to leave instead of taking a long term contract he can but that won't happen.

I do believe we'll work out a deal with him. One thing the Joneses are good at is paying their own ... sometimes too good at it. And yes, we'll franchise him before we let him walk.

And fans also like to create a narrative that's never been made. Micah has never said he was a Eagles fan the media assumed as much because he went to a Sixers game and he's from PA.

Look at both teams post season success the last few years.
Look at their post season success the past 30 years.....2017 is as irrelevant to this 2023 team is as that 1998 Cowboys team is to this one. Well no I shouldn't say that because there are guys like Lane Johnson, Fletcher Cox and Kelce who were there in 2017....but my point is its a completely different team. In 2023 these teams are 1 loss apart from each other despite them....as you say it being lightyears ahead of us. If the Cowboys beat them next week heads will explode around here lol.
