Parsons is an elite pass rusher. He is not a complete DE or LB, but his rush skills are probably generational. I’ll wait and see how he is used by Zimmer before commenting on sack totals etc.

I do worry what may be said if those numbers aren’t there for that reason, but let’s see.

And of course the big question….does Coach Jerry want him featured, or does he want the sack numbers down so he can try to get him cheaper (as if that ever works)? I would not at all put that past these two.

Don’t discount Jerry in the room telling everyone “what he would ‘like’ to see.” He admits he does that.

Gonna be an interesting season one way or another. We will probably be relevant. Super Bowl already won Jerry!!

Why do you think he's "disappearing when it matters"

If it's a sincere question, it's a good one.

I think it's because he underestimates his opponents and how HARD competition truly is at this level. Yes, you are an athletic freak. Yes, you seem very intelligent for a guy with that many physical gifts (normally the gods are spartan when giving out gifts). But when it comes to competition, the advantages are only there if the heart is in it.

Think of a world class athlete trying to climb Everest vs a sherpa in a village in Nepal or Tibet. One guy's confidence stems from his talent and the other from experience...they know when/how to pace themselves. They know the hardest parts of the journey and can prep for it. They also know when to relax. The world class athlete may LOSE HEART when the unassuming sherpas match or pass them up the mountain. At that point, all the haughtiness of spirit is sapped and he comes down to earth....sort of.

Micah better start respecting his competition...they may not have his gifts, but many of them are more committed to their craft and have no other options.

His ability to get around the edge is elite. Many times he beats double teams to force a quick throw. Not always about sack numbers but that’s been debated recently to the death. No mas por favor.

He is nowhere close to the complete DE that Reggie White was, but he is a better rusher. Better than one of my all time favorites…Charles Haley. Difficult to put anyone ahead of LT so I won’t go that far.

I’m talking pure rush skills, not accomplishments mind you.

Von Miller is probably the best comp for Micah, and he was the key piece in Denver winning the SB.

Not really. That's what smart teams do. His speed, bend, mis direction and speed to power when a lineman is off balance is all at an elite level.

What I wonder is why we don't move him around more often to make it more challenging for the offense and why we don't blitz often to take advantage of the double team.

That is all about to change with Zimmer
