He ain't wrong. Everyone knows Mike and Zimmer are gone after this year. Mike is a lame duck coach, doing a terrible job, why should any player care about him?

What is Micah talking about lol. Legends? Did I miss something? Trophy? OMG...dude is out of touch. We haven't sniffed real success outside of a couple random playoff games . My God. They think they arrived or something

Zach Martin is a first ballot hall of famer.

He deserves legend status. It’s not martins fault the rest of the team never was good enough to win a Super Bowl. Martin certainly was good enough to win one.

I actually think he meant that Mike can continue his coaching career after this season and have a chance to get a trophy, but it may be Martin's last as a player. Jori also said the same in her next tweet (or X, or whatever you call it now). So, I believe you are correct.

Not that Mike hasn't lost the locker room, but I believe that all this blow-up is just simply a misunderstanding based on something poorly worded by Micah.

Pretty sure you are correct.

Exactly right. He was asked about Mike being in the last year of his deal, not saying Mike should go right now.

Still a stupid, stupid thing for Micah to say. Words matter, and he's seen as a leader on this team. He should be a lot more careful.

Then again, he's a Jerry draft pick and he knows he'll be paid a fortune soon, so I doubt he cares.

I actually think Micah saying that Mike coaching the Cowboys (in Jori's next tweet) was "above his paygrade" instead of sticking up for him in any way, shape, or form was more poignant than anything said in the original tweet (though a more measured and prudent response for sure).

Completely agree with you on the last two sentences.

Professionals just don't say stuff like that. Plus, he's piling on a guy that's already out the door. Why? Just to hurt his feelings? I think Micah is just a jerk.
I'm not sure he's a jerk, just completely clueless and classless. He's a sign of what our society has become. He's all about Micah, not the team.
And more important, he is NOT a leader.
I'd actually entertain trading him.
He's a phenomanal talent, not denying that, but are we really ready to set the market, again? Because that's what it's going to take for Micah (and deservedly so). 200 mil for 5 years? After we just paid Dak 240 mil, and pouty (but immensely talented CeeDee 136 mil).
With them, at best, we are a one and out playoff team, and combined they will take up so much cap space that we will be unable to improve at positions of need. (At least with our owner).
What is the point of having 3 top of their position players at marquee positions, if you're not truly going all in to surround them with the talent needed to get over the top? (which Jerry is clearly not willing to do).
I know it's controversial, and risky. Re do all deals with min salaries to create the space to really go all in. There will be a price to pay down the road, no doubt, but if you're not all in, trade those marquee players for draft picks and do a Jimmy level rebuild.
Staying relevant (but mediocre) is clearly not working.

I'm not sure he meant this quite as harshly as it seems. I think he just means it's probably more disappointing for the "last chance" guys, than it is for MM, who'll likely have other opportunities to be part of a SB team.
No problem with what he said. There is more of a problem with Jerry lying and his ridiculous comments about the curtains that they have and refuse to use.

Micah Parsons said coaches aren't his top worry as Cowboys season spirals. "Mike can leave and go wherever he wants.
Guys I kind of feel bad for (are) guys like Zack Martin & guys who might be on their last year or on their way out.
Because that's who I wanted to hold the trophy for. You want to win games & do great things with those type of legends
who put in more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did. "Those are the kind of guys that I have so much sympathy and hurt for."

hes correct

Fire MM or demote him no OC !!!

ok this is whats wrong with state of the cowboys. they Players HOLD NO respect for the coaches, they only answer to Jerry and his wallet. This is why we suck. unless this changes we will continue down this road another 10+ years. until the players are accountable to coaches and coaches only nothing is going to change.

How will you ever hold the trophy when the owner doesn't feel bad, he simply don't care. Zack Martin had no shot. Another ridiculous quote by a player who talks too much.

Haven't seen this quote posted here, but I guess it could have been:

“You want to win games and do great things with those types of legends who put in more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did. Those are the kind of guys that I have so much sympathy and hurt for,” said Parsons.

Those comments should be considered insubordination, no arguments. It's very telling that I haven't seen anything coming from MM or Jerry about this, If BB is coaching here, rest assured Micah would be sat vs the Texans. Nobody knows how much work MM has put in, and even though it's in our right to be critical of his coaching, Micah is in no position to speak on behalf of the team. Based upon his body of work, Micah has to learn to just shut up. Lastly, the last person on earth Zach needs to speak on his behalf is Micah. I will be curious to see where this all goes, and if nowhere as I expect? Well, you know........

The podcast brain is leaking into his interviews. Absolutely a horrible quote from one of the best players on the roster. You can't say that about your head coach publicly you just cannot do it.

Finish the quote!
He also said “Zach Martin has put in more time and work than McCarthty ever has”

It’s another sign that players don’t think coaches are important whatsoever. They need them but they don’t.
He says They don’t put in time and hard work? Although I don’t really care for MM. He’s put in almost four times as much work and time as Martin.
