some absolute brainless morons in here who are incapable of understanding humor and nuance saw that McCarthy told reporters, in front of Jerry, that he lied to Jerry during his interview about watching every snap of the 2019 season just so that Jerry could hire him, and they took that at face value and as a fact

it was quite clearly a joke, but being able to read past words on a screen is beyond some people on here

I expect Bones is the interim HC and we bring in a retired person to work as a consultant with the offense -- too bad Norv is busy. That would be so on point for Jerry. But, really, what are you going to fix? We lost our #1 QB and the 2 and 3 are terrible.

I'm not sure he meant this quite as harshly as it seems. I think he just means it's probably more disappointing for the "last chance" guys, than it is for MM, who'll likely have other opportunities to be part of a SB team.

Guys I kind of feel bad for (are) guys like Zack Martin & guys who might be on their last year or on their way out.
Because that's who I wanted to hold the trophy for. You want to win games & do great things with those type of legends

I think he meant that MM still can coach (still has a career despite this season) so he has positives and possibilities in front of him.
Whereas those players careers come to an end and so their possibilities.
