Micah says Cowboys are costing themselves more money

Reading news of extended contract negotiations in Dallas is like the cat glitch in The Matrix:

Deja vu.

The Cowboys approach makes no sense what so ever. You know you are going to sign him why wait.
Because all they have to do is wait another month or two and they can pay him out of the league revenue sharing checks instead of diving into team funds or Jerrys pocket directly. I think the Cowboys have pretty much shown they are fine paying a little more in order for it to not impact their other business decisions.

If they wait until TJ Watt gets an extension, this is likely to be true. It's like Lamb waiting until after Jefferson's deal. Jefferson gets $35 million APY so Lamb gets $34 million APY. The Joneses seem to wait until someone resets the market. Now, the player's agent has the choice to wait for that as well, but it seems like Micah wants a deal done and this is more about the front office waiting.
