All is well that ends well. The NFL did the right thing and corrected who got the sack...
Sorry, bro. Micah is in 2nd place behind NE's Judon by .5 of a sack. No worries, Micah will soon retake the lead.Parson's leads the league in sacks now on his own.
Yep, CGI has been NASA's greatest weapon since the late 60's, long before it even existed.I'm just waiting for the "truth" about the sun, moon, and stars and how CGI somehow plays a part in the "Great Deception."
Looks like DLaw has a lot of catching up to do...though if it were up to me, I'd give him a two sack bonus for that goal line forced fumble.Sorry, bro. Micah is in 2nd place behind NE's Judon by .5 of a sack. No worries, Micah will soon retake the lead.
Amen, Runny!Looks like DLaw has a lot of catching up to do...though if it were up to me, I'd give him a two sack bonus for that goal line forced fumble.
It's only nonsense to those without variable thinking. In this case, it's just simple reading. The rules make no reference to the LOS, only whether someone has or hasn't "clearly become a runner." A QB can run and fall short of the LOS for a negative gain and not have it be a sack, designed run play or not. This play was an example of the judgment call that had to be made in such a case. Jim Nantz called it a run in his broadcast and it stood that way until a scorer changed it later. Nantz later credited the Cowboys with 4 sacks when this one was actually 5 but wasn't then, because they changed it later. So he knew the rules.
And then you wonder why dang near half the board still thinks it was a catch in Green Bay (you included). No variable thinking. So the NFL had to dumb stuff down due to the "outrage."
Edit: Even in listening to the audio of the Tweet video, the stadium announcer doesn't call it a sack. He credits Armstrong with "tripping up" Goff.
“variable thinking” = having no idea what you’re talking about. Anyone that has watched enough football knows that’s a sack. Regardless what the rule book doesn’t say, the call on the field is always based around two things. Did the QB drop back to pass or was it a QB designed run. If the QB dropped back to pass and is pressured into a run, but it tackled behind the los= sack.
