I don’t mind chirping, trash talking, shade, whatever it’s called. As long as it is backed up on the field, especially when it matters most. Talk is always cheaper than results.

Talk + results is fine. (See Michael Irvin, Michael Jordan, Lawrence Taylor, etc)
Talk + occasional results (and not in the biggest of games) not so much.

Based on the whole team’s performance last January in the playoffs, there should be zero talking and a ton of working.

Let's be honest.....we have some key players that don't care about winning or losing.

Lawrence is the best example and should be a team leader. IMO, he's here merely for a paycheck and doesn't give a crap about winning . Some guys would have trashed a locker room after that Packers loss because they have pride and passion for their profession.....but not this bunch, they were more concerned about "after parties".

The culture here is weak.

I appreciate the confidence, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying he's ready now. I would be more concerned if he said it was grind and challenging learning the system and getting in shape and that he's glad he has more time otherwise he would be unprepared.

In regards to leadership, maybe that's not his role right now, every great football player won't always be a leader. It doesn't mean he's overrated or not a valued player.

I don't really think it's that, I think sometimes, (not all the time mind you), players talk it up in TC. I also think the forum makes sometimes makes mountains out of molehills. jmho

Even if he runs out of gas, he is still the hardest working sackmaker on the team. Again, jmho. I think he's great. I sometimes say to myself, "where has Micah been the last 2 quarters"? Then, the last drive of the game the opponents qb gets sacked and stops the drive.

They are all just a bunch of kids out there, some just express themselves differently than others.

It kind of sounds like he thinks camp is a joke. It is almost over, 5 more days and it’s the preseason game, but there are 4 more weeks of preseason practice. I guess it’s diff with a 17 game season you don’t want to burn out half way through. That’s a long time 20 games with the playoffs so your talking 5 months.
