man he had 2 sacks in week 1, Im still a bit miffed
"when a runner is contacted by an opponent and touches the ground with any part of his body other than his hands or feet. "
Jones had his entire forearm fully on the ground wrist to elbow before he made a small lunge to go one more foot over the line of scrimmage. Micah should have 4.
if they counted qb runs behind the LOS he would have a lot more too

it's so surprising to me that he's never had 3 sacks in a game. i feel like he's had more "almost sacks" than anyone I've ever seen lol

I just want to see Micah take over a game completely, be like TJ who????? lol
Tj watt. The guy who only lines up in one spot and never goes against teams best tackles? Micah is better than TJ today and yesterday. Compare micah to myles garrett

Myth. I actually ran the numbers on when they were both starting in a game against each other and White still registered a decent number of sacks. I'll see if I still have it. I'm thinking this narrative came from an excited John Madden in a single game and then fans have generalized that to their entire careers.

Here's one of them:

Looking it up, Reggie White had 5 career regular season sacks against Dallas in games where he and Williams both played.

1991-09-15 (1)
1992-09-13 (2)
1995-10-08 (1)
2000-10-01 (1)

Without reviewing the tape, hard to determine if they were lined up across from each other on all of those plays and whether the blocking assignments actually meant that Williams was assigned to White.

I didn't look up the playoffs. Also possible I missed a game.

Yes, I've always felt the same way.

Excellent, thanks. I did exactly what you did there. I faintly remember there might have been 1 sack in a playoff game but would have to check. Also true about a lack of video so playing in the same game is all we have for now.

I still think they need a new stat for Micah. A sack assist. That’s when someone else on your team gets the sack, but it was clearly because of you.

Don't even want to think what it would be like right now if we had never drafted #11.
He gives me hope which I haven’t had in a very long time. I truly believe he will be the one who breaks us from this perpetual curse and lead us to greatness

isnt it a sack if the qb doesnt get back to the line?
i thought so too, but i saw a few where they did and it wasnt counted apparently
There is a point where a QB becomes a runner instead of a passer and they call it a rushing attempt. Judgement call. For example, a QB drops back to pass and the pressure is tight so he tucks the ball and steps up into the pocket to take off running. I would guess they deem it a rush if he never pulls up again to look downfield for a pass. You get tackled as you step up with the ball tucked and chances are they call it a tackle for loss like what happened to Parsons in the Giants game.

The other day in some thread people were talking about who the leader of this team is, hopefully everyone can see clearly now.

Even though there is more passing now I feel like it is harder to get a sack on an average passing down because of the fast paced passing attack most teams use now. Have overall sack numbers actually gone up over time? It feels to me like it has stayed about the same. Before Parsons came we stunk and never got any sacks.
