The Raiders are expected to cut S Michael Huff this offseason.

Huff has been a disaster since being selected No. 7 overall in 2006. Not only has he tackled poorly, he's also been consistently beaten in coverage for the past two seasons. Rashad Baker is likely to be brought back as Hiram Eugene's backup.

Lol. I just remember some gooing and gawing over him in the draft.

Raiders have got to be the worst drafting team right behind the Lions. Wow..

I can see a guy like him or our roy williams ending up in new england and becoming better players once they are around Belichick.

Imagine if williams is cut and then goes to new england and becomes his old self again and gets a ring!! that would be the biggest kick in the nads ever.

I agree.

Michael Huff is a talented player but along with the Coaches, alot of the players just don't have a chance in Oakland.

Agree 100%.

The Patriots have a model of success that I wish we would follow.

lol in other news, Michael Griffin made the pro bowl this year

as far as Huff, he was basically a corner playing safety in college. I was suprised that Oakland kept him at safety.

For a low contract I would be all for picking him up for a year or two and seeing what he can do in TC and practice.

One of the many things I dislike about Phillips is he will not "churn" the roster. Players think their jobs are secure and that creates complacency.

If we can get him cheap bring him in for competition.

I wonder how hungry the kid is and how much confidence he has left?

He is a native of Irving, TX, so he may be willing to come home at a discount.

However, I think there will be competition for his services given where he was drafted and the fact that most NFL teams view Oakland as a joke and know it is tough to succeed.

I would definitely be on board a cheap contract for the guy for a looksee. George Teague was a bust for the Packers and he turned out pretty well.

Not sure, but I wouldn't be suprised if he could get more than that.

If Wade Phillips focuses on the Defense quite a bit in 2009, I bet he could figure out how to use the guy.

He may be able to get more somewhere else. Depends if he wants to play back home and for a contender. (Yes I still consider us one)

I'm asking do you think that would be a good contract for the Cowboys side?

Don't know man. I am not that "strong" in that area and I don't know which teams would be major players to receive his services and I have no idea how much money the Cowboys have to play with.

USC?

I'd have to see a side by side comparison but on 1st rounders it has to be USC.

Matt Leinart
Reggie Bush
Mike Williams
Mike Patterson
Keneche Udizi

Interesting that you have Reggie Bush in there.

I would have to admit, there was quite a bit of hype around him.
