Interesting that you have Reggie Bush in there.

I would have to admit, there was quite a bit of hype around him.
He sure hasn't lived up to his hype. Mario Williams was a debated pick, but Houston did right.

I wonder if Reeves consulted on that pick?

I wouldnt be opposed for him playing CB here..I think with the right talent around him and scheme he could be helpful. With a cheap contract, I'd put him at CB..we need the depth! couldnt hurt!

lol yea it's "shined" on Texas 3 out of the last 4 times they have played OU, and 58 times in history. Im sure you are aware that Texas owns the all time series against OU. ;)

Yep, I remember everyone ripped Houston and even said Mario Williams wasn't even the best player on his team.

Remember I started that thread asking people would they rather have Reggie White or Walter Payton (for the purpose of that thread, we just assumed Reggie Bush and Mario Williams would have similar careers to those two)?

I would definitely be on board a cheap contract for the guy for a looksee. George Teague was a bust for the Packers and he turned out pretty well.
Good point, Fabian Washington was considered a bust for the Raiders but he's doing pretty well for the Ravens.

Ross, Vasher, Griffin

I'd say UT is like most colleges, some hit some don't

Does any college in the country produce more overhyped busts?

USC
LSU
OU
PSU
Florida

all schools produce busts. all the big programs produce more busts because they have more players enter the NFL and thus a higher probability of busts.

I know you are enjoying this, since he is a former Longhorn. Meanwhile our ex Sooner went from being a future HOFer in his first 3 years to M.I.A. in his last 3.

BTW, Jammer had a rough beginning to his NFL career, but has turned it around and is now a quality CB.

Huff has started out slow. He is a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. I think he would do well in SD, NE, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or Philly

Read the thread. I don't give a rats *** about OU, as a matter of fact i grew up a Husker fan being from SDakota(not really into cheering for college ball these days just follow for the draft) so i hated OU growing up. I have my reason for my sig. But i follow the draft as close as anyone on this site and have since 1987. Sure, all big schools have their share of busts, but UT is one of the biggest bust schools in the country. Sorry you're butt hurt about your texas college, but i have no emotion involved, just stating a fact that any draftnik with half a brain knows, the lions share of UT prospects are always overhyped for how they produce in the NFL

at least they win their bowl games...

Getting drafted by the Raiders makes you a bust no matter what college you played for, there's not a bigger death sentence to a rookies carer then that.

prove to me that UT is one of the biggest bust schools in the country.....please. Show me facts. Based on what I have seen over the last 15 years or so, very few UT players turn into busts.

That area of the country has the most passion for football and therefore the most hype.

How does a player become a bust? By failing to achieve the goals established by the hype.

A pissing contest between Texas and OU about this is worthless because the two programs select from the same talent pool and their programs both are high profile and players get poorly scouted due to surrounding talent.

the only busts for Texas this decade have been Mike Williams and Marcus Tubbs. The verdict is still out on Huff and Benson.

Since this has turned into a UT thread, Quentin Jammer has really turned into a fine pro. He was drafted high, had a shakey start to his career but is now a pretty fine cornerback.
