You said he wasn't a special runner. I just don't see how anyone can watch him and say that.
He is head and shoulders above any other back in this class, which is why he's currently the only back projected to go in the first round. To me, his talent is absolutely on par with Gurley's and he doesn't have the injuries or upright running style to boot.
Could a starter be had later on in this draft? Absolutely. Elliott is still a special type of talent though.
He would do very well in Dallas.
Thing is though as RXP says above, next years draft has a number of 1st round talent RBs.
If things go well for us next we won't be picking at 4 but if there is a plentiful supply of quality at RB then we're likely to be able to get one with a much lower draft pick (hopefully pick 32)
