He's on 105.3 the Fan right now ranting on the players. I'll transcribe a bit.

- He said he's been doing a lot of thinking about this team over the last few days and determined that "we didn't overrate the talent, we overrated the heart of the team."

- He thinks that the players don't seem like they really want it and he's shocked that they're not more bothered/motivated by all the negative things the media says about them.

- When he was asked about the team lacking a Michael Irvin type of leader on gamedays to fire up the sideline he said it's hard for the leaders to lead on Sunday if they're not leading Monday thru Saturday.

- He said that he and some players used to meet all the time at the Cowboys Cafe at Valley Ranch on their off time and plan out how they were going to win championships. He doesn't get the vibe that this group is doing that. Not enough communication btw players outside of football.

Overall he sounded incredibly frustrated with this group of players.

Well, it's largely his fault for refusing to call out Jason Garrett's inept coaching.
Michael Irvin blames everyone else but Garrett and has helped create this mess by talking to Jerry with his input but refusing to call Jason out.

Different breed of players today mentally. This is the Diva generation. Everyone is all about ME today.
This franchise fosters that breed of self-promoting player. That starts with the owner making the focus away from football and about promotion.

Of course players want to play for Dallas because it is a brand. It is not a team they go to because they want to win championships.

now...if there is anyone who can speak on a team having or not having heart....it's the toughest, most physical WR who ever played.
a 3x Super Bowl Champion who WAS the heart-beat of those teams.
he earned the right and has the credentials to diagnose a condition.
if that is what 88 sees.....its a damn shame.

I love ya bro, but come on Michael, quit letting Jerry off the hook!

And that comes from...........coaches and.....Jerry

Let’s see, All pro players, played for the Cowboys...Troy calls out the team, Michael calls out the team, yet NO ONE (not Jerry, not Jason, not the players) react or take any of their advice? What a joke of a franchise and the people that make it up are jokes too. I get we’re at a diva point in the league where it’s all about “me” but this team is as bad as it gets. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more arrogant team in NFL history (at least one that hasn’t won anything). I can’t tell if they are arrogant or if they just don’t care. Either way, I really hope from the bottom of my heart that we draft fiery players and get a coach with even 5% fire in him.

That's exactly what the NFL has become. FF stats matter more than the game. Entertainment matters more than the game. NFL has changed the game to meet these standards. Unfortunately it is making the NFL more money than ever.
