but its a valid comeback
not really. their's only a few games the last few years where oppenents got an easy win over us. that doesn't mean we don't continue to make the same mistakes and have the same problems that keep this team from winning games they should like the 2 games against Denver and NY.

It's in vogue to critize the Cowboys right now, so writers are jumping on the bandwagon is all.

So-called experts were hailing the Ravens two weeks agao and the Jets as well, now they're piling on them.

Meanwhile, they were hating all over the Broncos in the preseason and now they're riding Denver's jock.

Just the way it goes in the NFL is all.

It means he is just making a bunch of stuff up, based off a couple plays some intern brings him to watch, like the rest of the "analyst's". It should be obvious to anyone who's watched Crayton play this year, that he looks much quicker.

I saw him do the Dal-Car playbook show, and he showed one clip on Delhomme which proved to him how well he proctects the ball and that they were going to win the game because of it. Yet in real life Delhomme had thrown 10 ints in his last 3 games. As said above, there shouldn't be any wonder why he doens't have a job in the NFL.
Here's hoping he gets a job with the Commanders or Eagles!.:laugh2:

What happened to the Sanchez Bandwagon and the Ravens were the best team in the NFL?.

While our losses have come at the hands of undefeated teams I have to ask myself this. The loss to the Giants on a last second field goal, since that game who is playing better football.Dallas or New York?I'm thinking New York, because they seem to play better each week, while we still struggle. In Denver, neither Denver or Dallas played all that well. But Denver made a few plays and we didn't,which resulted in a loss. The following week Dallas comes out struggling against arguably the worst team in the league, while Denver got a win against the Patriots. This team lacks focus, they can practice 7 days a week but without some semblance of leadership/accountability i'm thinking the focus will never come.Wade/Jerry/Garrett/Romo can say all the right things, but results speak louder than words ever will.

LOL What? There are some problems in Dallas but Crayton is the least of them. This guy is just watching Sportscenter to get his look of the Cowboys.

first of all...why would Jerry answer questions about Wade next year? Wade is way up in age. The results since Wade has come on have been mixed. So it is puzzling to me why the media would ask Jerry to answer what he is going to do about an aging, declining coach after this year. His lack of concrete answers beyond this year is in no way indicative of a chaotic organization.

As for Crayton, he has NEVER been a WR that can beat man coverage...not sue why teams would ever zone us with Crayton as a CB. He is someone BEST suited for the slot, and someone that can convert critical 3rd downs.

The CB has been average....especially Newman. It is just more obvious to us this year because we are playing a lot of man, and the results have been mixed. Having said that, look how many times we went at Champ Bailey and look how many times we converted or at least the WR was open and Champ intefered even though it was not called. What does that mean? THere are no shut down CBs in the NFL.

LT has been a problem...but we have faced some pretty good rush ends in Peppers, Umenyor, Tuck, Gaines Adams, Dumervill etc...

Bottom line is this...if the Giants are the gold standard in the NFC...we are not that FAR behind.

When you are constantly putting yourself in 2nd and 20 yard situations, nullifying big first down catches and generally sucking in the red zone, you are light years behind what the Giants have done since they played us, which is blow inferior teams away.

Crayton used to have the best hands on any Cowboys receiver in quite awhile, lately not so much.

He's normally kinda credible. He called the Dolphins over the Jets on Monday night and it really caught my attention when he said it. I thought he must have really had some insider info or watched a lot of film.

With that said, I dont want to say he hasn't watched film on the Cowboys but I thought the word on the street was that Crayton was playing faster this year.

I guess Crayton wore out his legs training with Michael Johnson in the off-season. I mean, how can someone go from being very fast and quick as recent as week two (He really broke out in week 1) to having "no juice in his legs" in week 5?

I don't know but something's got to shake from this...
The Dolphins have a history of playing well on MNF. That stat might have helped his insight.

I actually agree with most of what he said. O-Scan seems to have lost his confidence. I still have high hopes for him and think he can be a player in this league down the road. Jenkins has been inconsistent, mainly because his hand technique is shoddy.

Still, the problem to me is the safeties. Tough to have corners who play really well, game in and game out, when the safeties aren't very good (Sensy seems to have some talent but he's injured). We've had ONE interception FROM ALL OF OUR SAFETIES COMBINED in the LAST 27 GAMES.

I think Crayton should be moved to the #3 WR when he comes back, sort of a signal that his poor play will be punished and Miles' great play will be rewarded.

Flo is really inconsistent now and that's part of the problem with the team, we have too many inconsistent people on this team. Be it Flo, Romo, Garrett, Hamlin, etc.

That and the Jets' defense is made more for stopping the pass than the run. And I gotta say the Fins' offense may be the most fun offense in the league to watch.

The National Football Post's Michael Lombardi

says Cowboys WR Patrick Crayton has "gone down faster than any player I've seen in a very long time."

"He has no juice left in his legs, appears to have lost his quickness and doesn't show any skills that make him tough to cover," added Lombardi. "He's easily covered by any team's fourth of fifth corner right now."

Crayton's obvious decline is just another reason that Miles Austin will hold onto the starting flanker job opposite Roy Williams.
