NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys are considering free agent DE Michael Sam for their practice squad.
Specifically, they are "doing research and due diligence" into the idea. As a 4-3 defense in desperate need of edge rushers, the Cowboys would be an excellent landing spot for Sam after he was a victim of the numbers game along the Rams' loaded line. It's almost beyond belief that Sam has yet to find a practice-squad spot after notching three preseason sacks in four games for the Rams.

This! The dude does not play ST's. He's merely a situational pass rusher. If he does make the squad, I hope he proves me wrong. Doubt it though.

I know the guy has serious on the field deficiencies, but he was SEC defensive player of the year last year so he must know something about playing DE. Theres no harm in looking at the guy.

I don't care about the off field stuff. Just find guys who can rush the passer.
