Honestly after hearing JJ talk about the ramifications had he chosen Johnny Football I'm a little shocked Sam is not here already. By ramifications I mean media attention he would have brought. Thought I would clarify.

And so it begins.

Cowboys plan to bring Michael Sam to Dallas for a physical Wednesday, per team source. If all goes well, Sam will be a Cowboy.

To be clear, Dallas would like to sign Michael Sam to practice squad, not active roster. First things first. Physical Wednesday.

I would like to see this reported by the local Cowboys reporters. It's probably true, but I never believe the national media guys when they report anything about the Cowboys.

It seems like the majority of that has died down lately.

Yes, but there are dozens of "reporters" dying for the Cowboys to sign a controversial player like Michael Sam.

There was a well known national reporter that said he basically prayed that the Cowboys would draft Manziel because it would make his job that much more fun. Sam is a similar concept.

If the team isn't going to be good.... Jerry needs to keep the spotlight on Dallas.. This move would certainly do that.. I hope he's being brought in for the right reason.

I don't care about who he loves, I just want him to sack QB's. If he can do that than he should find a place on the team.

I agree. Can you help bring the pressure from the outside if you can then who or what you sleep with is no concern of mine. The guys had a good pre season and was getting good pressure so in my book he is worth bringing in and seeing what he can do

For the record, I don't think he's that good of a player. That said, it's for the practice squad. That's where he needs to be to develop into more than a situational rusher.

In addition to that, if this team can survive the TO storm, I'm sure they can survive a PS player in Michael Sam.

On a side note, I'd fire anyone who leaked having him come to Dallas. It's clear to me, they were trying to keep it a secret. smh

Honest question; do people really read that kind of stuff? I couldn't care less about stories about player's showering habits like ESPN reported on last week. We all only have a certain amount of time each day to read articles and I can be picky on what I read. I'd rather learn something about the game or a player's on-field ability rather than if Michael Sam is a distraction or not.

This! The dude does not play ST's. He's merely a situational pass rusher. If he does make the squad, I hope he proves me wrong. Doubt it though.

This team was practically dredging river bottoms trying to find enough bodies to fill gaps last year. If he can be developed and provide Dallas with quality depth, then by all means, bring him in.
