Michael Sam?

The kid can rush the edge quite nicely, has 3 sacks in limited time in the preseason, and keeps himself out of trouble. That's all I need to know. Bring him in if he gets cut.

Final thought. If he just came in and played football, I have zero problem having him on the team. If he were to come in and he becomes the face of a social cause, and he is promoted as such, then that isn't just football is it? And, yes, I also think it turns into a distraction.

The thing that I find most awesome is the fact that he "came out" before the last college football season began to his Missouri teammates. We didn't find out until he revealed to the public after the season. I just find that to be an incredibly awesome statement about the quality of the environment in that Missouri locker room. Ok. I'm done.

No one has raised any social issues since he was drafted when the media decided to plaster his celebration all over the television. He has been interviewed after a couple of the Rams preseason games and both interviews were very ho hum type interviews. No sign of anything to be worried about..

Then I would fully support him Bleu Star. I have zero problem with that. (Not that he or anyone else important cares what I think about it) From what I've seen on TV during the games it seems that his Rams teammates respond well to him. As you noted it seems the Missouri team did as well. Get ESPN out of it and it might be just about football.

If we don't feed the ESPN lions they will eventually retreat back into their cages.

I'm the wrong person to try to use TO on in that argument..LOL

Well, to be honest, I liked T.O. when he was here...and I still like the poor dude.

DallasEast loved him more than you or I ever did! lol

Suicide watch maybe?

Well I meant prior to coming to the Cowboys lol.

I never had an issue with TO either. What's your point?

My point is, TO wasn't good for this team either despite being a great asset on offense but he caused a rift in the locker room. Can you imagine being a player constantly being asked about something other than football? They already don't even want to answer questions as it is.

Can you imagine how difficult the moderators' jobs would be at this site if both Brent and Sam are on the team?:) Have to pay the mods lots of OT to sort through all the threads and responses. Heck, throw in Tebow on the team and I think the moderators' heads would explode. Just looking out for the moderators and trying to make their jobs easier here:)

It does appear that a Michael Sam thread has a longer lifespan than a Josh Brent thread. Usually, a Brent thread gets closed within a couple of pages if I recall correctly. This thread at least made it to 6 pages.

On a serious side, it appears Sam can play and will make the team in STL. Who's going to play QB for STL is a much bigger question. That defense could be the reincarnation of Ditka and the Bears and the team still goes 0-16.

Well you still have to go out there and play. That's your opinion but tell these players that. Tell Dez that the season is over if Romo goes down. He'll look at you crazy. It makes absolutely no sense at all to trade Weeden right now.

Would you be saying that if a numer one draft pick was offered for Weeden? I thought not.

Umm...this is Dallas.
