Could be the Schoonmaker replacement. or even Spann-Ford.
I know many like him over Schoonmaker, and has shown some potential. But I think they want to see more in the passing game.
Schoonmaker in the last year of his contract. I doubt the offer him a 2nd contract. Or can they even trade him for a late round draft pick. Maybe during TC.

I want to temper my enthusiasm.

Something was not right with Trigg through the pre-draft interview process for a player of his talent to not get drafted. Look at the list of tight ends that did get selected this weekend and I bet 80 percent of them have nowhere near the talent Trigg has.

Maybe this goes beyond the maturity and benching issues he had in college. Teams that talked to him at the combine might not have liked what they heard. Hopefully I am wrong.

Michael Trigg's toughness, gritt and refusal to go down or get beat style of play reminds me of Mike Ðitka.

There are always TEs signed as UDFA that appear to be All World caliber by Dallas and then fizzle out just as fast. Let’s hope he is the real deal and every NFL team got it wrong. I think I’ll wait and see what happens in TC and PS before jumping to conclusions.

It's not that the nfl got it wrong. He's just got some issues that made him drop out of the draft. He needed to do everything right in the draft process and he didn't even work out because of a hamstring issue. Probably could have been 3rd-4th if he was a clean prospect.
