I said what I said, if you don't comprehend what I really meant, the deeper meaning ,like most players 30 plus years ago or further back, didn't go through with these players are going through...

They were all messing up but nobody knew about it Go back to the 70s they were even worse the parties, the drugs, the women , cheating(see current story on NE HC and the reporter, That never happened in the 70s people just didn't care to bother following somebody around with a camera a phone and a microphone and reporting everything therefore it never happened no it definitely was happening )

So, it never happened. If that’s not clear, I can’t help you. I was simply pointing out that they report on what these players ate by smelling their farts, chasing them around and following them. If you were hassled like that in real life, I bet if someone dug into your past from age 15 until now, they’d find skeletons in your closet no one knew about. I get that they’re in an entertainment venue and under a microscope, but that microscope is a hundred times more powerful than it was in 1970.

The point is, there was never a perfect culture, no perfect teams under Landry or Jimmy Johnson, and none in the last 15 or 20 years either. People keep saying we need to build our culture and add more character, but that’s not why they were winning Super Bowls. They won because of talent, and that talent messed up just as much as players do now, they just weren’t being watched. As for the old “if a tree falls in the woods” question, these days the answer is yes, you’ll hear it, because TMZ and social media will be right there to watch it crash, then spin 17 different conspiracy theories about who might have chopped it down and pinned it on a player.

If you think you’re a perfect citizen who’s never done anything like urinate outside, have sex in a car, speed, drive drunk, or make other mistakes since you were 15, then you’re probably overselling yourself. Most of us are human, and we mess up sometimes. The difference now is that these guys are followed 24/7, and things that never used to matter are reported constantly. Suddenly, everyone feels the need to weigh in, judge them, and claim there’s some kind of culture problem, blaming the team’s ownership, coaches, or player, as if this kind of stuff hasn’t been happening for decades.

FYI I will wrap it up by telling you there is not any different of a culture issue with Jerry Jones Last 30 years of players and the way he runs the team then he did the first 10 years and it's not any different than Tom Landry or Jimmy Johnson that's a bunch of lies acting like the only reason they were winning is because I had high character and great culture and that's a lie..

You could get deferred adjudication and keep it quiet. That's how most of us live our lives Whatever our flaws are we can hide them unless it's excessive But I'm telling you you're looking at this the wrong way we're just talking about in general the way people keep talking about having to have a better culture and high character players and that's nonsense that's not how you win games you win games with football players great ones that play great football and they're not all perfect..

I’m just not sure he has a position in the NFL. He’ll never be anything remotely resembling a real tight end at this level, and the role he had at Baylor doesn’t really exist in the NFL.

This isn't the 1970s. Jay Novacek in the 90s was 6-4 225. Shannon Sharpe was 6-2 228. This year Kenyon Sadiq (6-3 241) went in the first round. Trigg is 6-4 240

I want to temper my enthusiasm.

Something was not right with Trigg through the pre-draft interview process for a player of his talent to not get drafted. Look at the list of tight ends that did get selected this weekend and I bet 80 percent of them have nowhere near the talent Trigg has.

Maybe this goes beyond the maturity and benching issues he had in college. Teams that talked to him at the combine might not have liked what they heard. Hopefully I am wrong.

A lot of it is just that he’s a tweener. His player profile, the hyperathletic big slot who thrives in college without ever truly playing tight end, just never pans out at this level. He doesn’t have the twitch or route running to play any receiver spot in the NFL full time, and he’s not an in line tight end at all. Are you gonna have a guy on the roster with such a niche role he’s only on the field 5 snaps a game with no real prospect of becoming anything more? Most teams say no.

Hes never going to be someone you can line up in line consistently at the NFL level because there’s no concern from the defense that he can help your run game. And at that point he’s just a big slot who doesn’t run great routes.

There is literally tons of receiving TEs in the nfl that suck at blocking. The Cowboys literally have a starter and a 2nd round backup that suck at blocking.
