This.

Romo or bust. If he has to miss a couple of games, hopefully Dallas can steal one of them. If Romo is out for an extended time, what difference does it make?

Backups are not worth the energy to worry about.
We would need the ammo/position for Kaaya;) I'm now on the Romo or bust bandwagon so we can get our QB of the future (thought we would this year during senior bowl tbh w news about our liking Wentz; trade bf the Rams/Eagles had a chance w/their bounties, etc). Showers is showing well now, sometimes people get hit by lightning twice :p

Exactly, with all the reports and media attention you would think we have no qbs.

Not even for a couple extra "W"?? Vick says he'll only play one more year. Dak can sit and learn for a year.

Your one man crusade for Vick is really not gaining you credibility. Vick is a loser, but as a player and a person. I really would be tempted to give up on the Cowboys if they bring him in.

After Pacman, Hardy, T.O., Gregory, McClain, etc., should we really even seriously consider taking a chance on another POS?

He mailed it in with the Steelers. No thanks.

casmith I got to disagree with you. He did not mail it in as he actually just stunk. He is not a good QB and once he lost a step, he has nothing to offer at the position. And his game experience doesn't count because it was all scrambling.

BTW casmith, how have you been?

All I know is that Dak is not ready and probably won't for several years. If he's forces out there it'll probably ruin his career.

I'm all for Vick he can still sling the rock.

When Vick was playing for the Jets and was called on to start he wasn't prepared, and openly admitted it. You don't want that at Qb, he's just looking to get paid at this stage. I'd take Tebow over him.

Vick lost his job to Landry Jones for two games at the end of the year. And someone said it earlier, Vick couldn't get the ball to their best playmaker Brown. He can't read defenses. He got away for a long time on athletic skill. That has been reduced with age and now he's exposed.

He's always been a 1st read and take off an run QB. We already have that in Dak so
why compound the problem. Can't use him...Don't need him.

That's not true. I remember the Cowboys having a tough time dealing with Vick once he became the starter for the Eagles after Mcnabb left. The only thing that held him back with Philly were the concussions he was starting to accumulate on the regular.

Is that enough clickbait phrases? Ha!

Truthfully though, I didn't think any backup QB was worth going after, but Michael Vick was mentioned as a possibility, and I'll be honest, I like the idea.

He outperformed all our backups in the W department. He could salvage a game if Romo is out for a short time. I mean what's not to like?

Oh yeah, the media will hate it. Trouble. So what? He's matured enough that he's willing to be a backup. Even if he only flashes his previous talent occassionally, Dallas will win games with him. It's not like Showers and Prescott are both making the 53 man squad.

Do it.

I don't see why not. Let him battle it out with the rest of the guys. At this point you need a veteran to battle.

It is true. Most NFL player evaluators concur but, opinions do vary.

and he's a turnover machine. That's all our defense needs.
