I really don't care if an announcer likes us or not.

Nor do I. As much as I hate Al M., It doesn't behoove me to start a thread about how much he irritates me.

To each is own I guess.

Michaels kept trying to say there was some kind of a rule change inspired by Key's "TD" at Seattle last year, but I never did figure out what that rule change was. I did notice that they reviewed the Berriault hit that jarred the ball loose from the receiver AFTER the Seahawks had already run the next play. Was that the rule change he was talking about?

yes, he was referring to the new rule of "if a Cowboy catches a TD, it really didnt happen"

that also led to "if Jerry Rice is playing against the Cowboys and blatantly knocks over a Cowboy DB, you didnt see it"

My question is why Tafoya was only on the Hags sideline.

She interviewed Alexander and Hasselback (of course while plays were running) but no Cowboys.

The game was a Seattle homegame...but should that have anything to do with sidelines reporting? I don't think so.

Or is ABC just afraid to come over on Tuna's side of the field?

At least he was talking about football. What was that 5 minute discussion of baby names about? If I'm screaming at the TV during a preseason game it really should be about an awful play not banal commentary. I don't care what Michele Tafoya is going to name her kid and I really don't care how many kids the Seattle coaching staff have. Just awful last night.

Anyone notice how old and tired Michaels looked. He had aged quite a bit over the last year.

I also noticed that he struggled more with his words.

I think the guy has lost a step.

Even the makeup people need preseason to get it going.

I dislike Michaels as much if not more than anyone around here but I thought that last night, for a change, the guy was pallatable.

I doubt it will last, but he didn't annoy me last night nearly as much as he normally does.

I agee with you here. He showed more restraint than usual when it comes to the Boys. Although the Seattle game from last year is obviously still a sore spot for him.
