Michigan vs. that small team from that small city in Ohio GAME THREAD

Yeah it was pretty good- ND was down only 1 td with 5 minutes to play.

Just say
Have you ever watched AirForce or Navy play? I bet you haven't. You would not be saying things like that if you had. Just admit it.

They are garbage man.

If that makes you feel better as an ND fan, then so be it, but it doesnt make it true.

smith is drafted in the 2d rd while Quinn goes #1. Deal with THAT. THE PROS know who the best QB is.

Smith wasn't 'awesome', but the pick was on a deflection and the two other mishaps bad snaps on the center. I don't think he is going to go down in the Vince Young savior books for the perfomance, but it was an impressive enough win against a fantastic front seven.

I hope it nailed the Heisman for him.

Just proven how ignorant you are. Can't even admit that you never watched them or anything else yet you are an expert on them. Pathetic.

Quinn may very well be the better PRO QB. That doesn't mean that he's the best COLLEGE player (which as i understand is what the Heisman is rewarded to)

I think He did win the Heisman today. Does not mean he is the best. Just the way it happens.

The Heisman is SUPPOSED to go to the best college player and rarely does.

Hey burmafrd, do you have any idea why ND no longer plays BC?

Who is it doing the scheduling that doesn't want to continue the old rivalry?

I bet there are some great players- linemen, DB's, LB's, etc that really deserve the Heisman MORE then any QB does.

There were some reasons. The BC players trashing the
he locker room at ND stadium contributed to it. Also, I think there was some feeling that playing the only other Catholic private major college power was not a great thing- at least that is what I heard. White (the AD) has done some strange scheduling the last couple of years. Weis is not that happy with the results but that is the way it is.

ND problem is that most conference teams want to play their non conference games at the beginning of the year. Its hard to schedule them after september. So getting any more major powers after september is pretty hard to do.

Oh, I thought it was cuz we started kicking your arses much too regularly. :)

I wonder who it was thought the Catholic school football rivalry isn't the bomb?

It sure feeds college hoops.

Their problem?

The other teams are playing HUGE conference games while ND plays 4 cupcakes in a row.

Thats not a problem.

Heisman Trophy Winner....Troy Smith!

Looking at the stats Henne ended up with a rating of 143.2
Smith at 163.2
Henne was not even in the same stadium yet he was only 20 pts lower.
Just goes to show you that the passer rating really sucks at telling the story of how good a QB is.
