All signs point to the announcement that Mick Foley had been "fired" on Impact Wrestling as his storyline exit from TNA. I am told that while Foley's deal with the company expires in September, internally, he was pretty much considered done and wouldn't be back.
It was pretty obvious based on Foley's Twitter comments (referring to TNA house shows as "Empty Arena Matches", among others) that he likely knew he was towards the end of that run.

While it was never spoken publicly, there was a sense of disenchantment and frustration from both sides about the relationship. TNA never really tapped into or promoted many of Foley's outside passion projects, while some within the company dismissed him as being hard to work with.

Why did they make him the network if they knew this would happen :/. Atleast it killed the network character hopefully.

They didn't plan on him being the network character. They thought they had a deal lined up with someone else and it fell through.. which brings me back to how stupid their way of advertising things before they have the contracts signed really is.

They wanted Paul Heyman, or Goldberg. Both wanted too much money.

So like i said.. they thought they had a deal lined up with someone else, and it fell through. Again, stupid to advertise things before you have the contracts signed. That's one thing that TNA does alot of that makes no sense.

Well they had alot of options even without them. Goldberg would've been terrible in that role, he has virtually no charisma.

While I'm not expecting to see him on the cover of GQ I imagine I'll be seeing him again.

He still has a good relationship w Wwe. I expect a return in some sort of role. I'd laugh if they being him in as the raw gm

Bad advertising and marketing on their part. It's just a plain bad idea to do that sort of thing with someone you're not sure is going to be sticking around.

It's been pretty clear, for a while now, that Foley was less than thrilled in TNA.

Yep. It's a problem for them. But that's what happens when you have stupid people running your company. They've got to find them better people to run this deal and it's more than just Russo and his piss poor booking and storytelling.

Heyman would have been very cool. I'm a fan of him. Goldberg would have been piss poor. he doesn't have the right charisma for that role. It would have been a complete waste.

Well I wouldnt say he's got virtually no charisma. He just doesn't have the kind of charisma for that role. he's like AJ (Though I think AJ is much better on the mic, so don't freak out) in that his charisma is more in his character in the ring than it is in his ability to show it on the mic or in segments.

I don't know who they have in mind...if I had to guess I think it will be either HHH or Stephanie. I would not mind at all if it was HHH..anything that will bring him back on TV is good with me.

Nobody, absolutely nobody alive will live up to the nearly a year build it has had + beside that, no body they bring in will be able to match up with every decision made.

Best thing they could've done was make it Michael Cole after he lost to Lawler, instead they made the whole feud a joke.

What they should do is either have it as HHH (which would make no sense), and turn it into an on screen feud of him taking power from Vince McMahon, would be interesting as some fans would be behind HHH and the promise of change, while some idiots would be behind Vince McMahon and WWE staying in the horid state it is in.

If I was booking it though, I would bring in someone like Mick Foley, Roddy Piper, or another legend free agent with tons of charisma. They have Kevin Nash under contract, he would be fine in that role.

Meh..it's not in bad shape..nobody forces people to buy tickets..tshirts. When I go the arena is full & Houston has a big arena. Vince is a smart businessman. Whoever it is they have kept people guessing for a long time now & I am guessing that is what they are intending to do.

I'm not talking about the business aspect as in financial, I'm talking about in ring. When HHH takes the reigns do you think there will be more Daniel Bryans or Mason Ryans?

HHH is a huge fan of the talented in ring performers, he brought in mistico one of the best in the world, he supported Daniel Bryan a ton... Hes going to return it to it's former glory, an exciting edgy product with talented performers(not jokes like del rio)

Hmmm...HHH in the role would be cool. I'd like that.

I actually wouldn't have any issue with Nash being in that role.

I'm not sure how HHH being the RAW GM, on screen, means he'd be changing anything. As far as I know the GM would still answer to the man who owns it all and that's Vince.

HHH, and no one else for that matter really, is doing any changes, or making any major moves, without the blessing of Vince...until Vince is finally ready to step away and hand it over.

Don't look for that to happen anytime soon either.

I imagine Vince thanks his lucky star every day that HHH married his daughter...he can deal with all the wrestlers & Stephanie has been schooled in the business end of it all.

well in real life, HHH is being groomed to take over the creative part of the company, and that is pretty much well known so making a storyline out of it would be interesting.

He's now in charge of singing talents, Mistico (now with the stupid name Sin Cara) was his first signing.

Right. I get that. everyone knows that.

The thing is that he's still not doing anything without Vinces blessing, at this point, or any point until Vince completely steps away from the company.

So no matter what he's not going to make any dramatic changes to how things or done, or the direction of the company, no matter what his title is as long as Vince still has the final say.

That's my point. There is no great hope here, that some seem to think with HHH getting a fancy official title, because Vince is still king of the show and what he wants, and what he says the direction of the company should be, is how it's going to go.

How is Sin Cara any dumber than Mistico? They're both stupid and awful names.
