Mickey and Schefter say Cowboys sign Suisham/Folk Cut *MERGED*

Does anybody know if they've been working with Buehler to start grooming him for field goals? I saw a quote by him recently and he said he realizes that he's going to have to do more than kickoffs if he wants an extended career in the NFL. It would be nice if he could get to the place of being our sole place kicker. It would free up a roster spot.

He must be kicking like Folk in the NO warmups b/c theyre not even considering it

Too bad, I liked Nick. But I agree with the move. I just hope he ends up in the AFC if he gets his accuracy back.

Happier Times.

Should have been put on IR... He was great before his surgery (The night in Buffalo with back-to-back 52 yard fields goals is something I won't ever forget), I think he should be given a chance to compete for his job back next year.

Sorry to toot my own horn, BUT ... I called this last week.

Happy MNF folks .... it is win win .... DO I even have to say Go Skins?

Lord have mercy.......

He'll be available in the offseason if Dallas wants to go down that road again. No team will sign him to more than a 1 yr deal if he's signed at all.

I'm hoping that Suisham goes to Washington with a BIG CHIP on his shoulder. It would be sweet if he hits every field goal he attempts.

you would think suisham would have had a chip on his shoulder in the game against the cowboys, that didn't work out so well for him.

Nick Folk's tenture in Dallas is over, he has been cut

Oh, well. Since he's kicking so poorly right now, maybe we'll get a chance to re-sign him after the season to compete for the job in camp.

Hopefully, he'll use his time off to figure out what's wrong and get back to form.

The last thing we need is a kicker thinking about something other than the kick he's about to attempt. So hopefully Suisham has somehow erased his time with DC from memory.

With that said, it's now unfortunately all but guaranteed that at some point late in the game Suisham will have to drill an important kick.

Yeah, you are probably right there. For some reason, that is just the way this world works.

Suisham comes back to beat his former team

Motivation to beat your old team aka prove someone was wrong about you can be a very powerful tool. I'm okay with him coming out there on a mission.

he failed in the same scenario vs Dallas..that is what worries me..you don't think he wanted to stick it to us?

Just heard on around the horn that the Boys just signed him.

All I needed to see was "Folk cut". My faith has been restored.

Goodbye, Nick Folk. Thanks for the memories. That Buffalo game where you made those back to back FGs seems like a long time ago, but that is how I will remember your time here. I hope the Cowboys give you another chance next season. Who knows? Maybe you'll be back and MONEY once again.

PS. Why did I write that as if Folk is a visitor to The Zone?:D
