Yeah, I hope we can continue keeping QB's under 200 yrds passing and at 46% passing completion rate and hopefully keep those refs in our way. Because if we can do that we can keep complaining about our secondary.

Yep.

I'm also one of those lunatics that thinks the QB change at least in thoery could perhaps "help" cure some of those other ills. You got a TO that has to kind of wonder what he's doing here when the QB cant get him the ball, a Witten that seemed disinterested because he's asked to stay in and block too much..which isnt exactly his forte.

O-linemen who have issues but still have to be disgusted sometimes like when they let Strahan come free by design but DB blows the play so it makes them look stupid. Creating a pocket where he has 10 seconds to throw but it still stands there like a tackling dummy. And even when there is a breakdown having a QB that couldnt side step a locomotive if he saw it coming a mile away.

As for the defense not being the sort that can shut everyone down no matter what their own offense is doing.. well there aint too many of those in this league. Be nice to have one of those but we dont. Also be nice though to have a consistent enough offense where the D doesnt always have the pressure of knowing any TD they give up might be one too many. Which against better teams always seems to be the case.

It's not like every other team thats supposedly a contenda doesnt have issues of their own. Doesnt always mean it's gonna take 2 years and coaching/personnel changes to fix them. 3 weeks ago or whatever the Giants were a joke ready to implode.. now all of a sudden they're some sort of 'team to beat".. go figure.

Nobody thinks Romo is gonna fix everything that's wrong with this team, just the part that he has control of. He's selling the fans short and talking down to us again.
.

I dislike Mickey Spagnola, but I think he is correct here.

First Mickey gets crititicized for being a "team mouthpiece" and company man, and now he gets criticized for disagreeing with a team move.

Which is it?

I'm starting to think that Mick has as much love for Romo as he did for Q.

Does Romo do interviews in the nude?

And we only have the defense to thank for the fact we wer only down 12-7 at halftime, because it could have been much worse.

No if you want to talk about run defense in that game, we have something, but not our secondary!

I didn't think anything of it.

That's the kind of crazy stuff players did 20-30 years ago, but nobody hated on them for it.

Q's biggest problem is that he was the man that replaced "the man". Doubt anyone will admit it, but it's the truth.

Note: I said it was his biggest problem, not his only problem.

I actually liked Quincy, even bought his jersey if you can believe that, and Mickey deserved that.

:D

And I also bought a QC jersey.

There's no doubt in my mind he had the physical tools to be a very good QB.

He didn't have the mental makeup to get it done though. IMO, a classic example of being thrown to the wolves when he wasn't ready.

Come on guys. The O line has stank it up without Bledsoe's help on more then enough plays. The Secondary has given up MULTIPLE big plays. Our Pro Bowl TE has NOT lived up to his rep or his new contract. Same with our other TE. Our D line has not distinguished itself, and only our top LB really has had a good year so far. If you cannot acknowledge that then you really are pathetic homers.

He's a company man, Hyping up the Cowboys as a superbowl contender at the begining of the year. And now wanting to down play the QB change (lower expecations) to play under the radar with Romo incase things go bad. He's just staying on message as company men do....him and Brad Sham are jno more than yes men for the organization

I have been reading Mickey for years and up to this point I have pretty much respected his opinion and his insight. He has great football knowledge and usually tells it like it is. I was even on his side about Q although he was VERY harsh in his estimate. But he normally turns out to be right about a lot his thoughts....Until Now!

Mickey has been protecting Bledsoe like he was payton manning. He will not acknowledge and give us that same insight into Bledsoe's mistake as he has done with Romo and Q. Why not tell how Bledsoe threw three picks ( when he had time) that lost us the game against jville. Naw, blame it on the O-line. Why not talk about the many open receivers his misses or the lack of Witten going into routes because of blocking duties.

Why not talked about how the defense has actually played well and the Bledsoe turnovers have put them in a bind.

Why not explain how Romo passed to Fasano on a 9 yard pass that Bledsoe probably would not have thrown the pass or how he hits guys on the run to make a play instead of the bad throws.

I am sick and tired of Mickey assuming Romo will suck when I think he will shine! Thank you Parcells for doing the right thing. Mickey will look like a fool and probably will lose alot of respect behind this.

I dont mind you having your opinion but dont treat us like we are stupid. We see what you see! But if Mickey refuses to see the elephant in the room then that's his problem. We cant say what ROMO will or wont do but I know he will do much better than bledsoe.

This team is a special one and Parcells knows it. He does have the in place and Bledsoe's mistakes has had an effect on the whole team, including the defense.

I predict that ROMO will have over 300 yards passing and at least 3 touchdowns. Julius will run for at least his standard 100 yard against Carolina and the Mickey will be writing how he thinks Bledsoe is still the best option at QB.

I'm the one that interjected the thought that no one thinks Romo is gonna fix everything that's wrong with this team. In my opinion, Mickey talks down to the fans as if he thinks that most of us think: "OK, finally, Romo is in, 10-0." He comes across very condescending. But that's just me.

I will just never understand why a person can't be happy that we've replaced a bad player with a potentially better player. God forbid if somebody voices that enthusiasm. They must be losing their mind:rolleyes: .

That's all I'm saying. All I want is the facts from you Mickey. Give the guy at least these 3 road games and then give your slanted views. You know, the same way they do with Sherrell.
