I was very impressed with Tony Romo. Everybody was tyring to bury this kid

That play he made near the goal line is one of the most impressive plays I have seen. Maybe the play Eli Manning made in the Super Bowl was better

Tony Romo is a heck of a football player

Tony Romo was trying to do too much but they came out and ran the football

The Cowboys secondary had not played well and they were over the receivers yesterday and they got a lot pressure that was the difference in football game

Miles Austin is a really a good receiver. I like what he does and when he gets the ball he can really do something

Ditka also complimented Miles Austin on the way that he carries himself.

Romo is a damn fine QB and it is a shame many of us have had to come in here and defend him. Yes he will have bad game all of them do.

Austin always seems to be smiling, like Hines Ward. As much as I hate the Steelers, it's hard not to like Ward. He plays hard on every play and is always smiling. Austin is like that.

Yep.

It is a shame that people wanted to bench this guy and in some cases wanted us to trade him.

The guy is just a darn good Quarterback.

The rational to me has never made sense, they sit there and say Brees is better, Manning is better or Brady those are top QB's and even if Romo is below them who cares that still puts him up there with the top QB's in the league. You give Romo protection and he can eat teams alive funny thing is Brees,Manning and Brady also require that protection. Yesterday the line did a good job of giving Romo some time and the results was a big game from the offense and Romo

Mike Golic half-***** gave love to the Cowboys after the win.

Said it was an impressive win and Romo played like people thinks he should, but is inconsistent.

For some reason had to point out how well Atlanta played in the first series.

Trent Dilfer gave some love to the Cowboys last night during the 11PM Sportscenter. Said that the media is quick to jump on the Cowboys when they lose but never give credit when they play well. Said that he was going to change that and praised every aspect of the team. I was very impressed.

Wasn't it Ditka on the ESPN pre-game show that said the Cowboys have to commit to the run because if you put the game in Romo's hands he'll screw up? Just saying.

Trent Dilfer need to calm down because he won't keep his job by bucking the system. Too bad, I like Trent.

Chris Carter on Mike & Mike:

Im impressed with Tony Romo but I think when you talk about his development, you have to talk about Miles Austin's development as well

Dallas now has #1 wide receiver

It is different when you have a guy that makes plays outside hash mark

Ray Sherman has to get alot of the credit. He coached me, Jerry Rice and a lot of great receivers in the NFL

You have to talk about Tony Romo and Miles Austin together when you talk about their development

Cris Carter was just as lukewarm on Romo, as well. Like it really pained him to even say anything decent about the Cowboys in general (JMO).

Just said you can't prop up Romo's good play without giving love to Miles Austin. Also is on the Miles Austin is the true #1 wr for the Cowboys. That a QB needs a guy who can make a play outside the hashmarks.

Yeah he did say that and I just disagree. I think it's nonsense considering Romo's been in the line of fire alot longer than Miles.

I think alot of people just do not like Romo, for whatever reason.

It almost seems like resentment - like they think everything has come too easy for him, or too fast. Which is weird, considering how hard he worked to get where he is.

I thought Aikman and Tom whatever his name was were very balanced with it yesterday - I think it's Joe Buck that brings the sensationalist out in Troy.

Carter is a moron. I can't stand the few minutes I spend watching ESPN, waiting for The Mayne Even to come on, while Carter pops some sort of idiotic joke, then pauses....waiting for everyone else to start laughing, and when they don't, he just starts laughing himself and tapping Keyshawn on the shoulder begging for props.

Personally, I would describe a lot of the comments about Tony Romo and the Cowboys in general as very guarded.

We have seen Tony Romo perform at a very high level in big games during the Regular Season in the past.

Tony Romo was never the problem with this team in the first place and it was extremely foolish for some fans to call for him to be benched and in some cases, even traded. Like Mike Ditka stated, the guy is just a heck of a football player and anytime he is on the field, he gives you a chance to win.

Right now, I just want to see Tony Romo continue to play at a high level, close out the last 1/4 of the Season strong and get the Playoff Monkey off of his back.

As Aikman said again yesterday the reasons expectations are high in Dallas is because of Romo. Without Tony I doubt this team would be doing much of anything right now.
