Actually he was drafted to help out in the passing game and other areas, not just as a running back.

The gayle sayers talk is silly I will give you that, but to say he was just drafted to run the ball is not true.

I agree BP. They drafted Reggie Bush, the player. Not Reggie Bush the running back. He is too talented to be confined to one position. And they are solid at RB already with McAllister.

Just stop it already, they are still the New Orleans Saints, and we are still the Dallas Cowboys. It isnt a matter of us being able to beat them, we SHOULD beat them.

The Saints have won two in a row against the Cowboys so I wouldn't stick my chest out too much buddy, although I do think this year's team is much better...

Actually, it's four in a row, but who's counting? :)

After watching Ditka run the Saints franchise, I can honestly say that he just talks to hear himself talk. The Saints aren't the best team in the NFC, in fact, I'd say they are third right now behind the Cowboys and the Seahawks. The main reason is the Boys and the Hawks have better defenses. The Bears will be one and done in the playoffs. Looking forward to a good game on Sunday, hopefully it will be a preview of the NFC Championship game

All I'm saying is, sghould the Saints win, it will be one of their biggest wins EVER. If Dallas wins, it's jsut another in a long line of games we should have won that we did on our way to numerous championships. This is just another game for us, it is THE game for them. That's the difference between the two teams and their fanbases. They hope to win, we expect to win. No matter what they do, they'll always be the Saints in our minds.

This is a team we should beat because we are ebtter than

San Diego is a pretty good team but they certainly can be beat and I think the Cowboys could very well do just that...

Not to derail the thread here, but....

While I think it's obviously possible for Dallas to beat SD....and I'd cheer and pray they would, in the current state of affairs I'm not fully confident that we could.

In other words, I'd take SD -3, and probably even -6. The logical betting side of me would require an 7 to 11 or more point spread to take Dallas. And I defer to my gambling side for this sort of comparison.

I buy that LT is the best RB in the game....and possibly ever. I'd say SD has a defense slightly ahead of Dallas due to a better pass rush. And while I'd rate Romo over Rivers and the 'Boys WRs over the spares not named Gates in SD.....I'd be real worried.

Any given sunday and all that, but I'd bet on SD in a DAL/SD matchup.

SD isnt any better than Indy outside of their run defense

sorry, but you are off base on this one. Biggest wins EVER??? Sorry, but it's not like if the Saints win, they will have done something the franchise has never done. The difference between the fanbases is that you think everyone looks at the Cowboys as America's Team, and our fan base looks at you as one of 31 other teams. While your team has had much more success over the years, you can't live off what they did over ten years ago forever. Sorry, since 1996-playoff wins Cowboys-1, the sad Saints-1.

I disagree, because I drink the LT kool-aid.

But if you do not, then there's really not much of a debate to be had.

Peyton is great, but is known to choke when it really matters.

I think LT is beyond great....one of the NFL's all time elite RBs...and I've never seen the guy choke. That alone makes SD far more dangerous, in my eyes.

But has he ever been in a situation where he could choke?
