If Dak wasn’t wearing a Star on his helmet they’d be more critical too.

Remember most of us see the qualities and assets Dak skill set presents but are simply critical that he isn’t a prolific passer.

That doesn’t mean we can’t win A championship with him as we’ve obviously had some success . But it’s just going to be tougher.

With no supporting evidence other than your own opinion.

There is no coach that can teach Dak how to throw a football. You're either accurate, or you're not.

This isn't about poise. Dak has poise. So it isn't an experience fix that comes with getting "comfortable". Dak is comfortable.

And that's a problem because this just comes down to lack of ability.

Darius Jackson can practice all he wants, but he'll never be Zeke. Dak can work himself to the bone, but he'll never be an elite passer.

Lol!! But, he's gonna be paid like an elite passer!! I can't wait to see the posts on here when it happens.

The same argument, all with zero statistical support.

OK, if you think stats truly explain football, then should we not sell the farm for Nick Foles right now?

Stats are easily manipulated to tell whatever story you want to tell.

Dak led the team to 1 touchdown in 15 consecutive quarters this season. He went multiple consecutive games without scoring more than 13 points last season.

This really isn't hard unless you're a blind homer.

The Cowboys are in no man's land with Dak and really have little choice but to make him the QB for the next 4 years. The accuracy issue is a real one, but if Dak would just trust his arm and his receivers, giving them more chances in one on one situations, I think more big plays would follow. Yes, he will still miss those seemingly easy throws, but it's hard to ignore the what he brings to the table as a player.

And it’s even tougher if the guy won’t run more and tries to be Troy Aikman.

Thanks for starting a thread on this! I posted it after seeing it today in the Dak contract thread. It’s an interesting discussion

That’s really all we need in an opinion driven forum. Is it really necessary to type IMO each time?

Regardless , I believe the evidence is there with the stats and visual we’ve seen.

Is it your argument that Dak is a prolific passer like Brady, Brees, Mahomes, Luck and Goff ?

When he gets happy feet, it's because he knows he can't make the throw he should, so he holds it.

He likes to go down the deep sideline, and quick ins and outs and dump-offs. Seam routes or anything deep into windows in zone defenses is scary as hell to him. He just doesn't trust his arm.
That's why we get many average games. Good defenses can shut down his safe plays. It's when the defense looks like they're unprepared to cover the short out and sideline passes do we actually have success.

The entire knowledgeable football world of former players, coaches, and analysts constantly discusses Dak's accuracy issues, but of course, it's made up.

Swing passes and dump downs don't count. Dak simply REFUSES to make most throws, and when he does let it go down the seam, it ain't pretty at all.
And yet Dak keeps winning. He keeps coming up with scoring drives with the game on the line. He keeps making probowls.
So your analysis is that Dak can't play at this level due to his "accuracy". Yet he not only is playing but playing at a high level?
And this swing passes and dump down nonsense has been proven false over and over on this forum when we start comparing yard per pass, ect. Use the search feature and you will see it.
Dak's long ball percentages are as good as most.

How do you explain all the success Dak has had in this league? Luck?

Maybe you are overrating this accuracy thing or maybe you are underestimating how accurate Dak really is.

I see plenty of proof that he is accurate enough. Where is the proof that he isnt?

This is a horrible passing offense. Are you disputing that?

Do you really think Dak was the reason for this year's success? Remember 3-5?

The defense rose up and got this team in the playoffs. It had very little to do with Dak.

In other words, a college offense, which will get trashed in the NFL.

The final 8 quarterbacks in the playoffs were Brady, Brees, Goff, Rivers, Mahomes, Foles, Luck, and Dak.

Only one of those quarerbacks isn't comfortable in the pocket. That's where the elite NFL is played.
Alright Dak hater.
Lets cut him. He sucks per you.

What are you doing to replace him? Mike White? You like someone in the second round?
