He got fired from his next two OC jobs. People dont hire those guys to be HC's. He never ran the the ball, and his offense needed top tier talent to have any kind of success
lol

I was going to say this

Seems like time has warped our perception of Marty. He was almost considered a joke at the end of his career.

Interesting analysis. Some he puts on the WR, I don't necessarily agree with but he is one of the best offensive minds this league has seen. Should be fun to see all of the usuals try and argue with an offensive genius lol.

Here's what's not fun. Reading countless threads of Daks' analysis and spinning it into something that his playoff record so clearly tells us. He's an average QB with a ceiling. I don't need a brilliant offensive mind to tell me anything else.

Exactly. "Cry to the mods about what?" he says.

Look at this thread. AC doing his tough guy routine again.
I got attacked, so I replied based on football facts once again. It's not my fault Mike Martz pretty much said what I've been saying concerning Dak. I'm sorry it bothers you.

That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. It doesn't change the facts dictated by such a football genius like Mike Martz.

Progressions in football = series of reads the QB goes through to find an open receiver. Stares down = completely looks at one WR during games which leads to record breaking interceptions. = DAK , Easy analysis, goodbye.
15 INTs are record breaking? In what league???

Well having your offense nicknamed the "greatest show on turf" wouldn't give him some genius status?
My Take on each of his Videos:
- Poor Route design and play even poorer that the WR stopped. 100% agree with Martz ON WR
- Only 2 places he could have really gone with that Coverage was 1. Shultz on the flat or 2. over the TOP to the middle right but that could have been a pic too. . Dak Forced that to CD. ON DAK.
- Terrible throw and very rushed by Dak on this one CB was sitting on the top of the route and just jumped the ball. ON DAK.
- Dak if Seam throw is the right throw makes it and just bounces off TE. but really he should have turned and went to 85 at bottom of the screen running the cul while the CB was bailing out. there was 10 yards to gain there. Again Dak making hasty Read and just going with 1 side of the field. ON DAK
- This play Dak throws in to Double Coverage and does not let the LONG developing play develop he rushes the throw thinking the SLT CB is going to drop to RB but instead the sinks and sandwitches the WR to get the INT. again only looking at 1 side of the Field and Rushed the throw. ON DAK
- Dak throwing ball Too early on the bootleg needed to take 1 more step outside and set his feet and throw the ball. he was Rushing again not letting play develop. ON DAK
- Dak climbing the pocket looking only at right side of the field decides to run up and throw across his body. he needed to tuck and run. looking at the way he pulls his legs out as guy is trying to tackle him he's still iffy on his ankle. ON DAK
- Dak drops back 85 comes across the field and like martz said starts up field so the ball is A. thrown behind and B. WR going up field before ball is there. i think this is on both WR and DAK poor throw but poor execution of the Route.
- Shultz should have stayed on Seam and going 9 route up the field to draw off CB so the slant could have happened underneath but again DAK only reading half of the field. ON SCHULTZ
- Schultz should have come back to the ball but again no looking to the right left side and why was everyone running 10 yards and turning around and stopping what is this PeeWee FB. ON SCHULTZ
- Terrible Route by the WR 13 on that one, he gets inside why not run the 9 route you have inside leverage no safty since he's occupied with others. not sure why Gallup went out where the CB was and he runs the route and INT. ON Gallup or Coaches
- Not sure why Gallup did not turn on the comeback on this one. actually never seen a route like that before he runs to top turns inside and then fades to the side line. should he have not turn outside to the sideline and looked back and caught the ball. that was Weird and on him. ON GALLUP
- under throw by Dak on the Seam route. should have Gone to the crossing outside WR after seam route cleared the area. ON DAK
- Dak zero'ed in on CD going inside did not even look outside to 85 going up the side line. ON DAK
- Schultz gets pushed up field when he should have gone shallow inside underneath. ON WR SCHULTZ
- WR should have flattened out on the 40 and crossed the field. but did not and honestly if he did it would have been overthrown. ON DAK.
- Dak gets some pressure and moves up to throw the ball good read on the side of the field but should have gone over the top to Gallup on the sideline. ON DAK

Total:
ON WR = 6
ON DAK = 10

Something i've noticed most of these Play's Martz is choosing it looks like Dak is only reading 1 side of the field or zeroing in on a hot receiver and not going through progressions. Im hoping that the Change in scheme of the Routes will allow Dak to read whole field and not lock on to 1 side like im seeing. also hoping that the route tree changes will stop the weird routes and pauses and round offs.

all in all will be interesting to see the offense in TC.

Someone needs to give Martz a job.

13 years out of the league with your last chance in the NFL being the Cleveland Browns telling you "no" when you interviewed for the OC job after their 7-9 season is just unacceptable for an offensive genius like him.
Designed the Greatest Show on turf. 53-24 as head coach. In trying to discredit him you are only discrediting yourself.

Someone is only a genius when he agrees with you.
Someone only disputes an impartial review of a legendary passing coach when he doesn't.

53 wins?

Nice. Only about 30 less than Jason Garrett and only 1 more post season win. Garrett has more Super Bowl rings also.

You probably thought Martz was the HC when the Rams won the Super Bowl, huh?

Genius I tell ya.

I've seen him wait for receivers to cross milestones ie clear the safety to throw the ball but I do not see him staring down his first read like an idiot like you pretend. His first year it was squirrely if he had to make more than 3 reads but he has come a long, long way.

Can Dak even read the whole field or did the scheme have to be designed to just one side because of his limitations?
How many Cowboys games have you watched? I mean you can look up hightlights and cutups and see him move his facepllate from one side of the field to the other. He does it every game.

The Dak Prescott discussion is a good litmus test it seems.

Wasn’t a shot at him but dude is not the same since the ankle injury. I see him stare down a lot of targets
