How much do you think those guys make?

lol, way to change the focus from the subject at hand.

I don't know what you make and I really don't care. Point is a majority of these guys have a background in talent evaluation, have worked for NFL teams and/or get paid to evaluate talent. If they make 10.00 a year or 100,000 a year it's that much more then you get paid to do it and they get paid it for a reason.

Really? Asking you to back up your own statement is changing the focus?

How bout this -- number of cornerbacks taken in the first two rounds in the draft:

2007 - 6
2006 - 8
2004 - 7
2003 - 8
2002 - 4
2001 - 8
2000 - 6

Would you like to be wrong about anything else today? If so, keep talking.

Care to provide a link for those numbers considering I already posted the REAL numbers?

I'm just curious as to what makes you think your opinion holds more water then someone who has a long history of evaluating talent, get's paid to do it and has spent more hours doing it then you have spent watching football in general.

Your number for the 2006 class included Devin Hester as a corner, which is why it was incorrect.

I don't think my opinion holds any more water than someone else's. It's just my opinion. I share it. That's, you know, what we do on message boards. Shocking, I know. Now that you're aware you can go stifle opinion elsewhere.

Why did you leave out 2005? Not support your argument?:lmao:

That's all fine and dandy but you obviously do think your opinion holds more water than someone else's because your fast as heck to chastise anyone who disagrees with you and question their knowledge yet hold yours up to such high regard you can't allow someone to question yours.

Devin Hester was listed as a CB by the NFL Grade Committee.

Gosh darn, it sucks that only 1 out of the past 8 years doesn't support my argument. I'm sooooooooooo disappointed.

Obviously I think my opinion is the right, or else I would change my opinion. Do you often formulate opinions for yourself that you disagree with? And I didn't chastise anyone in this thread.

Great. He's not a corner, though, which is why your number was incorrect.

No but I'm open to debate and open minded enough to realize their are different one's.

I am when someone presents evidence contrary to my opinion. I've yet to see anything of the sort other than people stating their own opinion. I'm sure you'll be shocked to learn that simply stating your opinion won't change mine.

What would you have listed him as coming out of college? Forget what he has done in the NFL.

If the NFL draft grade committee as well as Devin himself which chose to work out as a corner considered him a CB and the Bears who drafted as it was announced "CB Devin Hester" then they are all crazy cause you say he's not.

You just keep proving the point.

Ummm....kick returner? He doesn't make the pro bowl as a corner. Do they list him as a corner in the pro bowl? The team certainly wasn't drafting him to play corner.

When we drafted Isaiah Stanback did we draft a QB? He did QB workouts at the combine, but we never had any intention of him playing that position. When we drafted him we drafted a WR.

He was listed as a Athlete at the combine. Neither WR nor QB. Big difference from being listed at a specific position. He also entered the draft according to the NFL as a WR.

You asked what you would have considered Hester coming out of college, regardless of what he's done in the pros. Im just posing the same question with Stanback, you certainly wouldn't have said he was an "athlete". Considering he played QB, and only QB (besides catching 10 passes as a WR as a freshman), you'd have to call him a QB.

This is ridiculous. Was he drafted to play cornerback? Of course not.

It is ridiculous. Another example, Shawne Merriman was a DE in college, he was announced as a DE on draft day, did the Chargers draft him as a DE? No, he's an OLB.
