This is a pretty interesting video about why the 49ers gave up on Trey Lance. Seems like he can't read the field during a game. In the video, it talks about Lance's "years" of experience in the 49ers offense, which really hasn't been that long. He needs more time to develop and get more experience. Will that up his ability to read and understand the game? He certainly has the raw talent, but we've seen scores of guys with talent not be able to translate to the NFL. Dallas is the perfect place for Lance to sit and learn for a few years. He's definitely not going to be in a place to take Dak's job anytime in the next year or two. The media and fans are making a big deal out of it, but really, what we've done is spend a developmental draft pick on a developmental player.
