I'm not talking about the first round. Buffalo jumped on drafting Torrence immediately after we passed on him. Obviously they didn't think he had issues.
Buffalo has never won a Super Bowl. Not 1. You bring up 27 years on our team and then you act like Buffalo is some great franchise that knows better than the Cowboys.

They may run a completely different scheme or have completely different evaluations. Also, I trust our O-line scouting over Buffalo’s. They haven’t exactly been an O-line hotbed over the years.

I love this! Calling the right protection was a weakness last year
and mike will suddenly get it all right this year?? where was he last year?
When they go empty backfield I am curious about what the protection will be.

He is saying things, that just set him up to look bad, when things go awry lol.

Would be an incredible OL to perform both areas equally well.
It's a pass first league so Schott and MM keep repeating the pass blocking emphasis.
This is a good OL with the ability to roll guards like young T Smith into space, we need one of our TEs to step up, Ferg has the first seat right now.
We incorporate a stud pulling guard paired with a solid blocking TE and elder Smith outside,, that is when scoot backs like Duece can get lost all the way to the endzone.
That is my vision and I am sticking to it.
good post. I share your vision.

That was Jerry’s handpicked OC and they obviously didn’t share the same philosophy. Some want to brag about a top rated offense but then blame McCarthy when they look lost come playoff time. So here is his opportunity to fix that. Doesn’t mean it will happen overnight but hopefully we can see an offense capable of more than what we’ve seen against the niners the past two years. Let’s see how often they go empty backfield and what the situation is on the field. Down and distance didn’t seem to matter.

Remind me wasnt the 'war room footage' on the 1st Rd pick about Mazi or Bergeron. Bergeron would give us different attributes at LG, more akin to what we're looking for, probably more mobility in the run blocking.....a way of better protecting RB2/3's, if you havent got the running backs you need to improve the scheme.

MM knows that the reason we lost to SF wasnt the O-Line pass protection it was because our running game allowed them to sit 7 in coverage....and Mike is hardly renowned to tell the press exactly what he's thinking.
