I'm not so sure we didn't lose the game because of that. If they call the penalty on Carroll, we have a first and goal at the 8. They took away 2 TD's last week with the blown pick call on Street and then the way early whistle that also took away a Hayden TD return.

We can't afford this biased officiating when we are short handed as it is.
Oh we did losethe game on the amalgam theory which I devised at JC postgrad. Well the called it remedial but it is a elite studies.
anyway willson's butt touched ground before the ball entered the plane.
Seattle got a reprieve for nonalignment/too many mens on the field/Delay off game.
WHICH WAS IT REFS? How many times doo you screw the Boys?
This will be a major story and then shrugs.

I don't think it's incompetence.

NFL wants Seattle in the playoffs not us

Terrible reffing aside, can you explain why the nfl would want Seattle in the playoffs over us? Is it their small market or their lack of history that makes them more enticing than us? Perhaps it is because we are Americas team that the NFL so desperately wants us not in the playoffs...

That would actually make zero sense. Seattle is a tiny media market compared to Dallas.

If one were to subscribe to conspiracy theories....

I still think Jerry is being punished for '95. The sad part is I'm starting to believe it. You can't watch the last 2 games of this year and think that Dallas gets a fair shake with the refs. And add that to the Dez non-catch in the playoffs.

You could argue that they have the poster boy for the NFL in Russell Wilson.

My reservations are that when it comes to the NFL people that are supposed to be unbiased are often not unbiased. We see it with certain media members that proclaim they are unbiased, but show their true colors. I remember a few years ago Mike Tanier did analysis on the Cowboys for Football Prospectus and his anti-Cowboys bias was so strong that it was unbearable (he's an Eagles fan).

Or the stories that Dr. Z (not a Cowboys fan) would tell about Cowboys players not getting into the HoF and one unnamed voter celebrated when they denied Bob Hayes and Rayfield Wright.

So, it wouldn't stun me if there were some refs that get swayed from time to time.

However, I am more willing to blame Garrett. He rarely complains and is afraid to make a scene to get his point across. People hated Harbaugh for how he would act, but it eventually got the point across.

Of course, the better course of action would be to not have a failed stand-up comic who has never refereed a game on any level heading up the referees.

I rarely complain about the Refs but gooooood grief what incompetence

They need to hire them full time and in doing so start enforcing penalties and fines to hold them accountable.

Let's face it being a ref is a private sector version of a government job where utter incompetence is rewarded rather than punished.

There is no agenda, but I just cannot wrap my head around what happened on that play.

Even if they didn't realize what happened right away, how did it not occur to them that calling two timeouts is a penalty?

There is absolutely no reason it should not have been a penalty.

The most popular and valuable team in the league yet we seem to get the shaft week after week......Sorry Lion's fans that call in the playoffs was a fluke

the refs have a hard job.....almost have to close their eyes and re-live the play. I don't envy them. However..this one was NO excuse. that's all I'm saying.

I honestly believe the league (certain powers that be) resent the popularity of the Cowboys for some reason. Maybe they feel a dependency with the Cowboys high ratings and wish there was more balance in that area. You would think that having a popular team that you can count on for ratings bonanzas would be a positive, but I get the impression that the league wants a new team to emerge as darlings. Imagine the MLB wanting the Yankees to just go away. Makes no sense.

If our offense could put two plays together in a row, we wouldn't care about a few bad calls. Our defense is the only thing that gives me hope for next week. Cassel is terrible and Linehan is not a great OC without Romo executing the plays.
