You are 100% correct, i would want a coach who can get the job done, regardless of skin color, nothing more and nothing less.
But what's wrong with recognizing the fact that we have taken a big step forward as a SOCIETY and celebrating our achievement. what i don't understand is that some seem to have a problem with this. Maybe we will like to forget what has happened in the recent past, and some seem to do their best to do so. But for others it is simply not possible to forget about your own skin color. Because no matter how far we have come, most of us are still reminded often that we don't have the right shade of color for certain things/positions in this society. And in some ways, what Dungy and Lovie Smith accomplished shows some of us that we are making progress not as African-Americans, but as Americans as a whole.
