Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the former Offensive Coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs was relieved of his duties today. My point is, prior to being promoted to OC, he was regarded as one of the top O-Line coaches in football.

If, in fact, we do lose Sporano to a Head Coaching Position, what do you guys think about bringing in Solari as our new Offensive Line Coach? I for one would be estatic.

Does he have experience coaching the OL?

Nevermind, just skimmed through your post the first time.

I know at one point the Chiefs had an amazing OL, so maybe that's not a bad candidate.

Whatever happened to Hudson Houch?

Solari would be a great hire as an OL coach

Houck is in Miami. If Cameron gets fired he might be too.

I actually agree with Coach Hodnett very much. I would love to have Mike Solari here. However, consider this, Ireland may want him too if they fire that staff.

Mike Solari and Marco Rivera as an Assitant OL coach would be fantastic with me.

Now, have you seen the FB from WVU yet? Tell me you don't love the kid.

I would love to have Solari also. Just as a side note, they canned 4 offensive asst coaches in KC today with the exception of the QB coach.

Funny thing about Herm Edwards. He never gets fired, but his staff always does.

solari is just as good a O-line coach as sparano if not better.

I like him a bit better. JMO, Sparano is a better play caller than he is an OL Coach.

Part of the good thing about being without BP is that we don't have to speculate and choose coaches from his diminishing tree. I think Solari would be a great oline coach.

wasn't Solari oh so hot a few years ago?

this is a prime example of why guys like Garrett have to take jobs when they come up....

I agree Solari would be a great hire and there is going to be some major competition for him. He really got a raw deal. He was given the keys to a Yugo and entered in the Indy 500. KC is one of the least talented teams in all of the NFL.

It would be nice to hire a guy with Landry ties

Not so long ago, the Chiefs' offensive line was the best in the game, so I'd have to give some thought to adding him if Sparano were to leave (which I think is all but inevitable)...

I'd rather have Hudson Houck, though... and for sure, I'd be thrilled to bring back Joe Avezzano to run the special teams, if he's ever on the open market again...

Living up here and getting the Chefs shoved down my throat constantly I've really come to hate that team/franchise the last 25-30 years or so. When they hired Herm I had to laugh out loud. I knew them what was coming. Also, his sound bites are so stupid their priceless.

Actually, this is not a bad idea at all........Chiefs line was great three years ago when LJ went wild.

As long as Coach Joe could learn to keep his mouth shut.

I think Herm is tailor-made to be a college coach.

He's got a lot of the rah-rah stuff in him like Pete Carroll.
