I propose there be a new forum called Media Whine Zone where all threads moaning about the latest perceived media slight against the Cowboys can be posted. Then all interested can flog themselves into a frenzy because they feel the media doesn't like us.

I got sick of hearing about the punts not hitting the video board on every kick. It's not like I just did not watch it not hit the board...

He had a point about the play clock though. They seem to be higher and spaced out more and smaller than most stadiums. But if I am a professional Quarterback in the NFL, while warming up before the game or at the pre game walk through, I am going to see where that clock is and remember to look there. So I dont think this is an issue.

The PLAY clocks are on the lower level and can be easily seen. Tirico said during the game that they were way up high, which obviously is wrong.

The GAME clock, however, might be in a bad spot. I have no idea where it is.

He actually prefaced the comments by saying that the stadium is in fact as fantastic / amazing as everyone says it is. Try listening a little more closely next time m'kay?
I have to agree with this. With all due respect to the denizens of this forum, some go overboard with having a persecution complex. A guy could spend 10 minutes talking about how great the stadium is and then say "I just think the clocks should be lower" and people only hear that last part.

We saw last night an example of the Panthers having some confusion where they didn't get a play off before the 2:00 warning because Delhomme couldn't see the clocks. If that is Delhomme just being clueless, then so be it. But if that is something that affects the home too, then it is an issue worth mentioning.

Well the hitting the score board during punts is not happening so they need to find something else. :laugh1:

Yet, how many times did Tirico have to mention the possibility of punts hitting the scoreboard? I hate ESPN......

Don't know I know it was mentioned early on but it has yet to be an issue. I think if a punter is looking to hit the board intentionally it can be done but I don't see this being a problem all in all. I do agree with those about things like the play clock it is important that the QB on both sides see what time they have to get the play off. I expect some minor bugs in the stadium as you would with most new structures but all in all most in the media have talked about how great it really is.

I've been a little sarcastic lately with whomever I'm watching football with. Every time a play has to be played over because of offsetting penalties I'm shouting "Oh, noes!!! This is ruining the integrity of the game!!!! There are no 'do overs' in football." So far, the score is about 10 offsetting penalties (just in games I've watched) to zero due to punts hitting the video board.

I think all that punt into the screen was well over blown. As I said if a punter is intentionally trying to hit the screen then chances are he will but why would a punter be trying to hit that screen in a reg season game? Just so his punt coverage team can run extra wind sprints down the field? I think the Tenn punters in the pre-season were trying to hit it
