strong antibiotics can treat respiratory illnesses, the fact that he had one, means he wasn't treated for it, I just looked it up :)

maybe he just started coughing, who knows, but it was enough to where Pierce can face animal cruelty fines

It's possible to have a dog with a respiratory infection that is being treated, but still has symptoms. I should know, both my dogs came down with it about a month ago and it took about two weeks for their symptoms to finally disappear while on antibiotics.

And no, it didn't stop them from breathing. As a matter of fact, they played together all day long like little tornadoes of destruction in my living room even while coughing and sneezing.

The worst part was when they would sneeze on you and get snot all over your favorite shirt or pants. Not fun.

That's a good idea, I'd suggest timing your 40 first and making sure he didn't run faster at the combine though. :)

You have a strong desire to make this a big deal, without really having all the facts.

A respiratory illness can mean all sorts of things. Minor to bad. The person supposed to be taking care of the dogs could've screwed off. Vandals could've left the fence gates open. Pierce could be a terrible human being. Without a bit more research though, this is just idle speculation and blather.

it took me 1 minute to do a search on yahoo, and I found out that respiratory illnesses in dogs can be treated w/ a strong antibiotic prescribed by vets

I'm not making this a big deal

Well the dog we rescued that brought the cold into our house is pretty skinny, yeah, we've been trying to fatten him up.
