Only if the prisoner has been relased to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Once they have been, then and only then do the US Marshalls handle the person to and from court.

By the way, the Department of Corrections runs the MDC Jail and does all of the transporting of state prisoners during the court proceedings.

But again , federal prisoners are something entirely different. It is a completely seperate system than a normal civil jail. Since Vick is in on a federal case, then yes, the US Marshalls would handle transporting him to and from court and then later to it's federal institution where they would be held.

To say that the US Marshalls do all of the prisoner transports in DC is completely inacurate.

You are talking about a federal program involved in state criminal transports and responsibility. I can't find anything stating that the marshalls handle all of these criminals for the DC area.

:lmao2: the though of some of the guards at DC jails doing transports is funny, very funny. The US Marshalls does all the transports for the District of Columbia. From hearings to trials. From DC jail to the Court house. DC is a city not a state, so again we have no sheriffs. MD has them VA has a them

This entire thread has gotten wayyyyy out of bounds. Please bring on FA:lmao2:

I don't fully understand what you mean by this post. But anything with a black man being tied to a car axle is something i disagree with and take complete offense to and I hope one of the higher ups will delete this post so i never have to see it again.

As opposed to if the joke had been about a white guy, mexican, Chinese person, or German? That would have been ok, but since it's a black man it bothers you?

Way to turn it into something racial instead of a comment about him being treated the way he treated the animals he tortured.

i don't care what its a reference to it's borderline racist especially considering that black people have been dragged to death on the back of cars. There some lines you don't cross. Why not just say lets string him up to a tree around his neck and treat him like a pinyata? w/e the thing where candy falls out. I'm definitely not trying to gain any one something just letting him now that i was offended but his comment. For you to even say that im Al sharpton and im trying to seek race card pity shows something about you but thing again its not much of a surprise consider you are a cowboys fan and your name is skinscalper so of course you wouldn't understand what im gettin at

You're right, there ARE some lines that shouldn't be crossed. One of them is manufacturing racism where it doesn't exist. Considering the sensitivity of the subject and the term and implication of such, where it doesn't exist, can be just as damaging as ACTUAL racism. Do you feel the need to inform the world of EVERYTHING that offends you?

Yes black people have been dragged behind cars. So have white people. Mexicans. Jews. I don't advocate sickening behavior regardless of the race or color of the victim or perpetrator. Which is exactly why I don't feel sorry for Michael Vick......even if he's black (sorry). I'd wouldn't feel sorry for Tom Brady or Tony Romo if they were convicted of the same sick **** that Vick was convicted for either. For all I care you could "chain their ***** to a buried axle", too if so convicted. I'm not an advocate of ANY type of prejudice, so you're barking up the wrong tree.

Just so you're aware, the skinsscalper moniker came about when the Skins fans started playing April Championship Football back in 2001 and bombarded EVERY Boys board known to man claiming "Championship" when they signed every has been name known to the game of football. The INTENT was to offend (and the offense had a bit to do with their racist logo and team name). BTW The moniker actually has a dual meaning. At the time the name was created, I had just gotten into learning how to golf and i was posting on a Rivals site that had a Cowboys board (Silver Star) and a golf board (Ham and Egg). Myself and three other co-workers played a "skins game" every Thursday, so the name was theme appropriate there, also. I've used the name on EVERY message board that I have been on since. They range from golf, to guns, to ebay, to the Cowboys to a Disneyland forum. Not that I would expect you to understand. You're too busy LOOKING for something to be offended by. BTW I have Cherokee blood, from my mother's side of the family. If my screen name offends you I can change it to beanscalper. I'm half Mexican, too.

I'll re-ask a question that you dodged earlier in the thread. Would it make a difference if the comment would have been made about a Mexican? Or a redhead? Or how about someone with green eyes? Now, if someone would have posted "they need to chain that n***** to a buried axle", I would have been right along side you on this one. I have no tolerance for that type of ignorance. But to manufacture something to be offended by because the person being spoken of is black and then label it as racism is, to me, just as offensive. That's where the Al Sharpton comment came from.

I don't think you're bad guy. Let me make that perfectly clear. I actually enjoy the majority of your posts. I just didn't see the need to manufacture a racist slant on a comment that had nothing to do with race. That, to me, is just as offensive.

That's pretty much all I have to say about the subject.

Why? He's a big boy, right?

Usually, stars, celebrities and other criminals who may "agitate" or "excite" the general prison population are separated for their own safety.

hmmm im not white mexican chinese or german so it wouldn't bother. The fact that he is black and to say that brings up racist stuff that was done. So it would have been racist to a different race but i wouldn't be offended since i am not of that race i don't understand why i can't be offended when it comes to the idea of a guy wanting to string up a black guy to an axle of a car.

I don't fit into any of those races classes therefore i do not feel any type of way for them. Races plays a factor into every aspect of human life well for me it does so evens his comment that's meant as a harmless joke race play a factor in it. The fact remains the idea of tie up a black guy to an axle is a problem whether you meant for it to be or not. The fact that something like that can come across and not be viewed as racist is even more sicken. A dog life doesn't equate to a human life the mere notion of even doing something along this lines is silly. Just because they didn't say oh man lets l**** this N**** doesn't mean thats its not up there in their mind.

Whats sad is you making yourself a hypocrit by your comments. Actually i pray for the day when something like that is said and no outrage is made about the person color, but the outrage is made because of the treatment no matter what color they are. That is the day i look forward too.
