Actually I think some posters are getting confused on what I was saying. I mentioned my friend who is a sheriff in VA. I work in Washington, DC. we dont have sheriffs here so all prisoners transports are done by the United States Marshall Serivce. So I know ALOT of US Marshall since everyone in DC goes to court to attend to court cases, and often converse or eat in the same places.

Only if the prisoner has been relased to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Once they have been, then and only then do the US Marshalls handle the person to and from court.

By the way, the Department of Corrections runs the MDC Jail and does all of the transporting of state prisoners during the court proceedings.

But again , federal prisoners are something entirely different. It is a completely seperate system than a normal civil jail. Since Vick is in on a federal case, then yes, the US Marshalls would handle transporting him to and from court and then later to it's federal institution where they would be held.

To say that the US Marshalls do all of the prisoner transports in DC is completely inacurate.

You are talking about a federal program involved in state criminal transports and responsibility. I can't find anything stating that the marshalls handle all of these criminals for the DC area.

I don't fully understand what you mean by this post. But anything with a black man being tied to a car axle is something i disagree with and take complete offense to and I hope one of the higher ups will delete this post so i never have to see it again.

Its a minimum security place, right? That means that you are not talking hard core lifers there. So its nowhere near places like Attica, etc. Plus its a FEDERAL prison so the standards are higher. Putting him in Gen Pop there is nothing.

I am sorry but I have to put my two cents in this since this is getting rather crazy. This is NOT prison break. The man works in Law Enforcement and he has a general idea of what happens with prisoners. I would wager you have no experence other than watching prison movies. Common logic would say that if there was any threat to MV that the Law Enforcement personnel would take measures to stop the threat. I swear some of you think that TV=Real life. This has nothing to do with him and him playing in the NFL, it has everything to do with keeping EVERY prisoner safe.

Seriously take a step back and think about this logically. If anything happens to Vick, ANYTHING, then people will lose their jobs. Now are you willing to take a chance and loose your job over Vick?

The only argument you can make is that the man doesn't work for the Federal Beurau of Prisons. Well, what qualifies you to make your assertations.

so in your opinion people never get raped or killed in prison. I personally have never been to the pen, but i do know people that have been and they would have to disagree with your opinion. Second "IF" something did happen to MV and that caused someone to lose their job then I would seriously have a problem with that. The reason i have a problem with it is because his life is not more important than someone elses in prison.
Personally if he is not in GP then he should be placed there. Many people in prison are there because they felt they had nothing else to do to try to earn money for a living. Sure maybe they were trying to take the easy route, but they were trying in their mind to survive. Mike HAD money, he didnt need to do this to make money, HE DID IT FOR PLEASURE!!! As i said if he is not in GP he needs to be placed there so he can learn and make amends.
As for the article, was the person paid for their information? and it is information from a inmate. Like an inmate has any credibility... take what you will but its KARMA
