Rampage;2766955 said:get over what? oh nevermind you won't respond to the question. you'll make some stupid comment thinking you're right again. Roy is still a good player hahaha riiiiiiiiiight.....

so teach me how Peyton Manning is better than Tom BradyHostile;2766966 said:He applauds himself for an edit.
I couldn't make this crap up if I was high as a kite.
If I believed for one minute that you actually want to learn something I would make this attempt. However, experience has taught me it will be yet another trip on a merry go round where you don't care to actually be in a discussion, you just want to spew crap and get responses.Rampage;2766971 said:so teach me how Peyton Manning is better than Tom Brady
no , I wanna hear the reasons from the all mighty hostile on how someone could actually think Peyton Manning is better than Tom BradyHostile;2766976 said:If I believed for one minute that you actually want to learn something I would make this attempt. That is exactly the kind of crap I expect and why I hesitate to reply so often and tend to get pissy so quickly when discussing this stuff with you. Should I apologize to you that I am a student of the game with some playing and coaching experience? I am sorry for that. Please do forgive the all mighty hostile.Rampage;2766980 said:no , I wanna hear the reasons from the all mighty hostile on how someone could actually think Peyton Manning is better than Tom Brady
why are you so cocky? why do you you talk to people like that? as to Manning vs Brady, Tom never had the weapons that Peyton has had and the 1 year he did he broke Mannings record and was 1 game away from making History. that's great that Peyton is a student of the game and calls his own plays. If it wasn't for his defense playing lights out in the 06 playoffs he woulda cost his team again in the playoffs. regular season awards are cool but they mean jack shi... just look at Alex Rodriguez for an example.Hostile;2767020 said:That is exactly the kind of crap I expect and why I hesitate to reply so often and tend to get pissy so quickly when discussing this stuff with you. I'm going to hate myself for even bothering, but here goes. Hopefully somebody reading this will find it interesting.
Try looking at the line where I said, "if both were on the same team, Manning would start." It might be some kind of easy clue to where I base my opinion. The base is defined as the beginning point. The origin.
They are about equal on all things dealing with being a QB except one thing. No one is the student of the game that Peyton Manning is. If you think for one minute that doesn't carry weight with coaches then you need to think again. It carries huge weight.
Simply put, Peyton Manning is quite possibly the most cerebral QB of all time. He does not lack any other attribute that you look for in a QB except that maybe he's not as mobile as a Michael Vick or Tony Romo. Still he is not a statue like Bledsoe or Marino. He has no weaknesses.
In just about every way his skillset as a QB shows as a strength. He has a strong arm, he is accurate, he puts up huge stats, he wins, and he is a great leader of his football team. His mental ability pushes him past most other QBs. It is what sets him apart.
The same as what set Roger Staubach apart. The same as what set Joe Montana apart. Yes, I just compared him to those two all time greats.
Note, I am not saying Brady is a bad QB. In fact, I was saying he was a great QB long before anyone else was. Dale can back me up on that. He is one of the all time greats. So is Peyton.
I won't dispute that Brady has more titles. He also plays for a superior team. The same way Terry Bradshaw played for a superior team, but is not a better QB than Roger Staubach on anyone's list. The difference is Brady is closer to Peyton than Terry is to Roger. Brady is a great QB. No doubt about it.
Put Manning on the Patriots and they have just as many wins if not more. Put Brady on the Colts and I can't say that no matter how much I respect Tom Brady. I just can't. Peyton Manning is the only QB in the NFL who basically calls all the offensive plays. Tom Moore has basically turned the play calling over to him. He has full autonomy. I do not believe the Colts would be as successful with Tom Brady at the helm having the same freedom. I am not saying he is not a cerebral QB. I am not saying he would be exposed. I am saying he cannot do what Peyton does.
I am not arguing who has more titles or that one is great and the other isn't. I am saying that if both guys were on the same team at the same time at the tops of their games Peyton Manning starts.
If you put their stats side by side for equal times in their careers Peyton has higher stats in just about every category and he took over as the QB of the worst team in the NFL, Brady inherited a very good team when Bledsoe got injured. More wins by Manning coming from less talent around him.
He is a 3 time MVP who is clearly capable of more awards. All 3 were at the same time Brady is in the NFL and healthy. Brady has one award to his three. Only 3 other men in NFL History have won 3 MVP awards. Jim Brown, Johnny Unitas, and Brett Favre. He may be the only one who will win 4 or more. That should speak volumes.
there it is again. you need some toilet paper for all the crap that comes out of your mouthHostile;2767044 said:I knew better. I have no one to blame but myself.

In playoff games Brady is better.

All you've done is spit venom at Hos in this thread, and you ask why he talks to you that way?? And if you didn't notice, you asked him to explain his reasoning, he did so at great length...
And you whine about the tone of his response...
Not only is Hos not "cocky", he's perhaps the nicest guy on this board... you have to be a real JERK to get him to say something even mildly offensive toward you...
Hos, if you drop the ban hammer on this one, nobody in here will blame you... I'm sure there are lots more folks than you and me who find his act tiresome...
I don't ban someone for being a jerk. There's no rule against that. I knew better than to answer. It's my fault. I saw his attitude towards me, have seen it before, yet I still try. Eventually I will learn.silverbear;2767265 said:Are you SERIOUS??
