we haven't visited this discussion in awhile

I remember all the worry-warts about the receiving corp heading into the season, and the comparisons between our group and the WR groups from the other division teams

I think it's safe to say that All Smiles is the best WR in the NFC East

I agree...

Although, the G-Girls seem to have luck on their side!

As much as i like Austin right now, I would take Desean Jackson over him for right now

Interesting topic. I think you're right. Miles has convinced me at this point. We need him to keep it up. Maybe we should wear the throwbacks from here on out. Miles sure does ball with the stars on his shoulders.

I'd still pick Jackson and maybe Smith. Moss may be better. We don't have enough data yet. But it says a lot that he is being considered as a top East WR. Some called him a bust earlier this year.

Not sure he that much better than Desean Jackson yet. But he was impressive against arguablly the Best CB in NFL. Probably only Shutdown CB, if any, or at least close to one in NFL.

For now, I think Jackson and HIm are tied for first and maybe Steve smith proably a Second.

Smith is not dominating enough, or not a guy who scares a DB. He is a good Wr. Desean is a difference maker and so is Austin right now. Defense has to fear Desean or Austin taking it to the house any time. Smith is not that and wont ever be that IMO. He just doesn't have that elite speed to be one.

Only guy on Giants team I see in future who can do that is Mario Manningham right now.

Miles Austin put on a show today... He caught balls on their best CB so for those who think he didn't go look at the film.

Yep, he might be the other guy. Probably 1A and 1B. Namdi has done it for longer time though.

Charles Woodson would like a word with you.

While he is arguably the DPOY right now, he is not a pure man to man cover guy. He stays on his one side of the ball.

I've seen Nnamdi move to both sides covering #1 WRs before but he didnt do that today. At least not that I saw. I know for a fact Revis goes to both sides, he has shut down Randy Moss twice this year.

Um...

that's like saying Demarcus Ware is more of a coverage linebacker.

All GB does is run man. And he's been doing it his entire career.
