Some of us have been saying this for a while... Austin is a MUCH better athlete than Hurd.

(Ow. I just hurt my arm patting myself on the back.)
You've got all weekend to recuperate.

Congrats to Austin on a good game. I'm not really a big fan of his, but I am for today

The problem with Hurd is that he just does not come up big in games very often. Today was another example. I do not care how big, fast, etc you are; how great you look in practice. What do you DO IN THE GAME is what matters and that is where Hurd has not done much.

I think hurds done enough given his position on the team.

Hurd is a smart hard worker who can play all over the field plus special teams.

Laufenberg was raving about his work ethic and his hands on the radio today.

oh and I love seeing austin on the field. When he gets the ball in his hands he can become a breakaway player, he is big and fast.
The value the Cowboys organization puts on our backup WR's will on full display next April in the draft.

Hurd doesn't look like much more than a fourth wr to me.... Austin seems to have more physical gifts to work with (speed and size) than does Hurd.

I would still look for another wideout next offseason, but that's just me.

I would too. Just not in the first round.

I like our young talent at WR on the team already (Crayton, Hurd, Austin, and Stanback).

I think Out of Crayton/Austin/Hurd and Stanback, and without seeing what Stanback has, maybe Austin is the only one (possibly Stanback) to be a #1 receiver.

I really hope these 2 guys pay close attention to TO and try to mimmick their games after him as he did with Jerry Rice, one of these 2 could become a monster.

I noted that too.

I turned to my wife and said, "You know that looks just like superpunk." :)

I kept waiting for the announcers to comment on it... guess they didn't wanna belabor the obvious... and here I thought belaboring the obvious was their job...

Maybe we should all describe "our" Superpunk. Mine is blue, 7 ft tall with orange hair. I'm really embarrassed to have missed him on tv.

Austin just oozes potential.

I'm glad to finally get to see him. He just has a burst. Both of his catches had some decent YAC. I like it that we're taking our time with him. He really has the ability.

And Stanback did play. But unfortunately it was the last drive of the game with BJ at QB.

Yep stanback is on special teams too, I saw him blocking pretty well on punt returns.

He's actually only 5-6, he uses a LOT of mousse... but I'm pretty sure we're talkin' about the same guy...

Miles Austin looked pretty good on yesterday. He showed a little burst and caught the ball well with his hands and not his body. The development of he, Hurd, and Stanbach will be crucial in the decisioning of resigning Crayton IMHO....

Nice to have depth at WR but obviously his biggest contribution this season is finally providing a threat at the return spot.
