I thought he looked really good yesterday too. He was one step away from going to the house on his first catch.

I was impressed with Miles and Reeves last night ..... good to see some young guys playing well.

I thought Reeves played his best game of the year last night.

He's faster than Toilet Paper?

Toilet paper being pulled from somebody with the runs....

I would too. Just not in the first round.

I like our young talent at WR on the team already (Crayton, Hurd, Austin, and Stanback).

I agree. I am willing to bet that first round wide recievers have a higher bust factor than any other position. Quality wide recievers can be had in the second and third rounds.

I think Out of Crayton/Austin/Hurd and Stanback, and without seeing what Stanback has, maybe Austin is the only one (possibly Stanback) to be a #1 receiver.

I really hope these 2 guys pay close attention to TO and try to mimmick their games after him as he did with Jerry Rice, one of these 2 could become a monster.

I don't know about that, but I do believe that Austin can some day be a great #2, much like Glenn, and could be a killer in the slot. I think Austin is a much better slot reciever than Hurd is but Hurd has the most potential to be a #1.

Austin just oozes potential.

I'm glad to finally get to see him. He just has a burst. Both of his catches had some decent YAC. I like it that we're taking our time with him. He really has the ability.

And Stanback did play. But unfortunately it was the last drive of the game with BJ at QB.

:hammer:

He looked really explosive after the catch.

Miles Austin looks like he needs to be starting soon opposite of T.O., I like what Stanback brings to the table as well...

Good posts all around: Hurd is OK, but I agree: nothing more than a fourth WR. As for Austin: he REALLY intrigues me as a slot receiver; i.e.-nice potential third receiver. Good hands and great quicks yesterday. We may have something there guys.

Austin a #1? Umm NO. He is decent but I doubt he makes it past a #3. There is nothing wrong with that at all, I just don't see him being much more than a journeyman. Hurd MAY be slightly more than that, but again, not to much more. We need to draft a legit #2 who can become a #1. I do like the depth that the guys provide, but honestly I am not just seeing anyone other than Crayton becoming a starter yet. Hurd is much closer than Austin to starting, he just needs to learn how to use his body to shield defenders from the ball and how to get the defenders to turn their hips so he can get an advatage. If he can do that, he can be a decent possesion reciever. Austin has speed but his game just seems a bit to loose, for lack of a better word. If he wants a chance to play a lot more he needs to put in a lot more work.

He could be to us what Wes Welker is to the Patriots. If we could get Austin to fill that role, just imagine the match up problems that would create for the defense. We already have Owens and Witten; add a legit slot threat and the sky is the limit!

TO
Austin
Stanback

That could spread the field if we could get Austin and Stanback up to speed
