What's everyone's opinion of this kid?

Does he have what it takes to stick around or are we looking at another Randall Williams (physically gifted but no production)?

He's shown the ability to get open, but is he someone that could be relied upon on a key 3rd down?

Randall Williams couldn't run a route to save his life

I see alot of potential in Austin

do you really think anyone but the coaches have seen enough of him to actually form a valid opinion?

Williams couldn't even get open. Austin has potential. He's had 3 potential TDs today. I think he's just had a bad day catching the ball because the weather has been awful.

I really like the kid. Yeah, I know he's been horrible today and dropped at least 2 passes.......but I can't help it, he's got speed , runs decent routes. If Glenn can't come back in the playoffs I HONESTLY think he can help: he did against gbay earlier this year.

There's the three year rule.

If he doesn't make super improvements next year, then we need to let him go.

Right now, I still like what he can do. If he catches the ball, he has a ton of speed....He really gets open.

I still think we stilll draft a WR. We can't rely on two UDFAs

Was it actually 3 chances for a TD today? I didnt see them all. I saw the one across the middle.. it had TO-play written all over it

Did he drop all three or ?

Thanks

The only thing good about his performance today is to convince Jerry Jones that we need to draft a WR on the first day.

I know he got open but when was the last time he caught a meaningful pass?

Yeah. Romo had him on a slant or short post at the beginning of the third quarter. If he caught it, there was no one between him and the endzone. Everyone else behind him was going the opposite direction.

Then the missed catch for a TD near the goal line.

Then the piss poor throw by BJ when he had Smoot beat by five yards, assuming he would have caught it.

How could anyone fault him for Brad Johnson not being able to throw the ball more than 20 yards downfield? If Johnson had even a high school caliber arm Smoot doesn't get within 15 yards of that ball.

He dropped two easy TD's. I would have liked to have seen Stanback...

:starspin Austin has that word "potential" associated with him, but I just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Randall Williams though....hmmm.

He dropped two.

Granted, the one in the endzone was tough, but he still should've had it.

The "third" was a bad play by Johnson. Austin had beaten Smoot, but Johnson underthrew him....Smoot was able to get a hand on it....Then, he celebrated like he was the best CB in the NFL.

I can't stand Smoot....overrated.....gets beat like a rented mule, makes one play then acts like he's Deion.

He dropped the one across the middle, the one in the end zone, and I assume he is referring to the likely TD down the sideline where Johnson underthrew the ball.

Get me players that can catch the ball and we can work on speed and strength training.

May not mean he is not a NFL Wide receiver but that was horrid.

From all accounts he dropped at least 4 passes today.

I say he dropped six.

My imaginary number is bigger than your imaginary number.
