Miles Sanders drops a hint on a new-look offense for Dallas

I'm fine with this but they better have better plans then these running backs....

And also Mike talked this same crap....

But what happens when on 1st down you run and you get stopped for 1 or -1 yards? Or you get down 14-0....are you still gonna be a run oriented team?
When all RB's in SF on average, don't get touched for the first 3.5 yards, is it the RB's or the OLine?

I guess you missed the all part.

2024 Stats

Mason average 5.2 yards
Guerendo 5.0 yards
McCaffrey 4.0
I'm saying I don't understand what you're asking me. I don't know San Fran to have a great offensive line. Not saying its bad but they have some holes on the line.

Wasn’t Shotty the one saying two-years ago that their goal on offense was to make their opponents’ defense have to defend the entire field?
So…whatever…show us…dont talk about it to us.

Agreed, 100%. I realize this won't be a popular idea here, but Jeanty is pretty darn good!

Presenty, the Cowboys can't stop the Eagles running game. This may be the way to equal the field.
Drafting a wr isn't the way to accomplish what you say. I agree with you.

Hampton looks like a stud too.
He's a bigger back, a one cut then down hill guy from zero to 60 quick. He's not anything like Jeanty as far as yac. Jeanty is more of a jitterbug that can make a house call out of nothing. He won't need a perfect Oline. Let's not forget about The Don, Donny Edwards at Michigan. He's a great RB. I like phil Mafah in Clemson too.Hes about 230 and can make a house call at his size. He can also punish you.

Yip, well he's in charge now. We shall see. If we have a legit Oline and running game, it opens up everything we wanna do.

I was told picking up undersized running backs out of their prime is a key attribute to pounding the rock.

When you run for 3.5 yards before being touched that means the offensive line is doing a tremendous job.

Sounds like the Cowboys are very serious about getting back to a dominant running offense again. Pretty good article. It gets into the new OL coaches. A physical run game is never a bad thing.

Miles Sanders drops a hint on a new-look offense for Dallas
Matt Galatzan, SI

The new running back in town tips the hand of the Cowboys offense and what the plan will be this year.

“The plan for the offense is to go through the run….You don’t get too many places where the offensive coordinator is an offensive line coach, and I know he’s playing a big part in the plan, I’m excited.”

So, the offense is going to go through the running game.

Wish this decision would have been made before we paid our QB $60 million a season:mad:
